  1. To charliemom24 Yes it gets better. I am 3 months out and now feel great most days. Some days I can't eat a lot of foods and have to use Protein drinks to ensure that I get all of my protein and Vitamins. And I am loosing weight slow and steady which is ok with me. I say all of that to say l; give your body some time things will get better. Good luck and congrats.
  2. Congrats!! Keep up the good work
  3. I am always cold also. As a matter of fact my feet are freezing right now. It is a pain but I would rather be cold and slim then fat and warm. I'm sure ya'll all feel the same.
  4. Although I did not make my goal weight for this week my surgeon was pleased with my progress. I let him know that it is my TOM and I had gained a few lbs. my next weigh in is in 2 months
  5. I'm doing ok. Very happy to be close to my dr's goal weight for this week. Hopefully I will make it I weigh in on Friday Surgery weight 259 Current weight 223
  6. I went back to work after 9 days. I sit all day and live a20 min drive away from work. The only issue I had was lifting heavy/semi heavy things. Also it was difficult to concentrate on work and get all of my protein and water in. I am actually still having an issue with that since I am just not hungry. By the way I was sleeved on 10-17-13.
  7. Yes Ekmw it really does help keep me motivated. I catch myself wanting to beat my own score and to be more active. That is huge for a person like me that hates to exercise.
  8. I have a fitbit and love it. I've been using it for about 2 weeks. It tracks everything from calories burned to steps taken and it tracks food eaten.
  9. I realize that this thread is months old but I will reply anyway. Like you I work in dispatch. I am very familiar with the hobby of eating while at work especially on the midnight shift. I am 5 weeks out and although I cheat sometimes I don't cheat often. I bring 2 Protein Shakes to work with me and try to drink 8 cups of Water too keep me full. I walk as soon as I get off of work for 2 miles. Then have a Jello cup for snack. Not sure if you've heard of this but I have started using a fitbit. You wear it on your wrist 24/7 and it tracks your food and water intake. Also your calories and exercised are tracked.
  10. My fav stores are Ashley Stewart, Target, Victorias Secret and Gap.
  11. I think it's normal to feel a sense of loss. I am beginning to gather my size 18 clothes to donate them and like you I would shop to make myself feel better. So needless to say I spent a lot of money on very nice clothes.
  12. Hello. I was sleeved by Dr. Samir Patel of Atlanticare. He was excellent both before the surgery and after. The nurses at the Atlanticare hospital were phenomenal. If you would like more info google the dr or pm. Good luck in your quest.

  17. Since we are on the topic of TOM I have a quick question. Does anyone else gain during TOM? I have gained 5 #'s this week! The weird part is I have not eaten any thing extra except 1 mcd's chicken wing.
  18. Sleeved on 10/17 Beginning weight 259 Current weight 244 Goal weight 170
  19. Thanks everyone for your replys to my question. I guess I was just being a little paranoid thinking the the weird noise is a leak. I go to my first follow up on Friday and will ask the Dr about it.
  20. I am 6 days post op. I've only lost 12 #'s. I am sore so I limit my walks to 10 mins 3 times a day. Also I noticed a weird feeling in my gut after I eat and especially after I drink. It is like a gurgling/ squeezing feeling and I can hear it also. Has anyone else felt this?
