    10/10/16 Sleevers

I'm not familiar with those two but I'm definitely open to the idea!! Something that would give us instant communication with each other, almost like our own group me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi guys, I'm entering into my final week before I am sleeved on Monday, October 10. I am very excited and wanted to see if any of you had any recommendations of things I should get prior to surgery? I feel prepared for all of the liquid prep, but maybe there are some non-food things that will make life easier for this journey. I have seen some discuss buying the little 4oz cups from Wal-Mart, some have mentioned purchasing baby sippy cups to ensure you don't swallow too much at one time. If any of you have any ideas, please share them with me. I look forward to hearing from everyone! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. Hello bandsters, I wanted to write and express how pleased I am 2 months post-op with getting the band! I am 24 lbs down, and for the first time in a long time can I start the new year with a weight loss promise I can keep! Now that all of the holiday treats are out of the house, I can now refocus on reaching my 60lbs mark by March! Are there any fitness challenges going on now? If so please share, I'd love to participate!

    2 months post-op

Jim, good for you! Life with the band is not about restricting what we eat, but more of how much we eat! I can honestly say I enjoyed my share of desserts and goodies during the holiday!

    Return to work HAHA

I returned to work on Monday, and was banded on last Thursday! It may vary from person to person! I felt great on the first day back, but was worn out by the time I made it home. Was in bed by 7!!!! I also started my workouts back up on yesterday! Listen to your body and not your mind!

    Exercise Ideas

Hello Bandsters, I am entering into my 4th day post-op, and was feeling extremely motivated to start my gym routine again. I know it's been discouraged to lift weights at this point, but I thought I'd start with about 30-40 min treadmill walk. I will be returning to work tomorrow, and thought a nice walk would get my day started right! Can anyone suggest any exercises that you have found to be effective at this stage?
  23. Good afternoon all, I am entering into day 3 post-op, and I'm feeling really good. The soreness is still there, but it is really tolerable. I'm just so excited to begin this new weight loss journey! It feels good to know that I will finally be able to see the benefits of my workouts and eating right! My best friend and I entered into this journey together, and I have echoed to him how this was the best investment we could have ever made for our life and we'll-being! Just thinking that this time next year, I could be 100 lbs lighter is invigorating. Good-bye expensive Big and Tall section, and hello to affordable widespread shopping! Let the journey begin!!

    4 days Post-Op

Good evening everyone, I'm concluding ny 4th day post-op, and feeling great! I think I may be close to 10lbs down......mostly water weight, but I'm eager to start back in the gym tomorrow morning. Ill start with a 45 min treadmill walk. I hope this is not pushing it. Ill just let me body dictate when it's time to stop. Has anyone else dine any gym work?
