  1. Thank you for the info!!
  2. I am on day one of my two week liquid diet. I have protien shakes, jello, sf pops etc.. Since we can have chicken broth can we have soups like tomato basil?
  3. Congrats on being on the losers bench!!! Glad everything went well for you. Hope you have a quick recovery:)
  4. I was told that most of the light yogurts have aspartame in them. Fake sugar. I was told we could only have stevia. Is this not true after surgery?

I'm just nervous to piss off the dr. He is cutting into me ya know. Idk. I'm so worried about the surgery all together. This is just a speed bump I guess.
  6. Polly... I would check w your dr first. Then when you get the list. Try and look for coupons for them. Cvs has deals on their vitamins Bogo free. Idk if they come in chewable or gummy. It's worth a shot. Write to the companies and ask for coupons or free samples, get on Facebook and search for the companies wall. Sometimes they have free sample or coupon print outs. I know feel. I'm in the same boat. Every penny counts!

I thought about that but then I don't want the dr taint it out on me. Idk. I'm just worried to piss the dr off. I think the whole problem is that the dr likes to do his surgeries in the morning. That Monday the 21st the surgery would be in the afternoon and they would be short staffed in the . OR. I just wonder why the time wasn't blocked off when I first got my surgery date. I think I am going to tell them no.

I just have to vent... I got a call today from the drs office to ask if we could push back my surgery till the 28th of October. My heart fell to my feet. Wtf! I'm trying so hard not to cry or complain. But I have so much that has been scheduled! Parents coming jn from out of town just to help me and make sure my son gets to school etc. ugh.
  9. I was told by the nut to get whey isolate protein. She said It has to have 20g of protein per 100 calories. I figured the shots were whey protein since it is called new whey. It's all new to me. As far as trying new proteins I haven't as much as I should. I'm waiting to free up some cash to order the unjury brand. Seems that's the most recommended on the boards. I'm scared , nervous, and honestly have no idea how to psyche myself out for two weeks lol. I know I can do it.
  10. You are so right! I checked the protein shot bottle I have and sure enough it has a proprietary blend of collagen protein and whey isolate protein. Well back to the drawing board lol.
  11. Hi ladies. I have a quick question. Has anyone tried those whey protein shots? They look like those 5 hour energy shots but a longer tube. It says it has 42g of protein and I'm wondering if I could just drink that to make sure I get all my protein in then drinking all the shakes? I'm so confused about my liquid pre op diet..I've got jello, broth and shakes but idk if that is all im limited too for the next 2 weeks. Also, how is the time determined. Some only have to do 1 week or 3 day liquid before surgery and not the 2 week?
  12. I was told my the nut that I could only have clear liquids the first two weeks. And that vitamin water was a good start. Has anyone else done this? I like the op am looking for the right supplies to have on hand for after surgery.
  13. I have tried the Voltarne gel for my rsd (chronic regional pain syndrome) and it didn't help me. Idk if it works w joint pain.
  14. Thanks ranchbrat:)

  17. You answered my question!! I was just going to post if anyone knows if I take aspirin type meds for headaches would it mess w my stomach after surgery. I had the worst one sides headache yesterday and I usually take excedrin migrane for it..and it got me thinking after surgery could i still take it? what is allowed?
  18. Hi ladies. My surgery is t till October 21st and wanted to ask you guys something. The 2 weeks of clear liquid after surgery, does the liquid have to be room temp? If its cold does is it painful on your stomach? Thank you for the heads up. Nervous and looking for answers:).
  19. Chelle. We are in the exact same boat!! I just had pad Thai figurng I have 13 days till my liquid diet lol. It's going to be great in the end for both of us. We have to keep strong! Have you found a protien shake you like yet? I have to start looking.
