  3. Thanks everyone I really appreciate the help
  4. I am actually waiting on my surgery date so I started trying protein shakes now do I would have an idea of what I liked. I am afraid when I have surgery I won't be able to get it in during my liquid and full liquid stage. I have tried some protein water and it is ok it has 10 grams of protein per 12 oz of water. When I think of 60-80 grams that is overwhelming
  5. Does anyone out there have advice on how to get your protein in? I have tried multiple protein powders and pre-made protein drinks I don't like them. I gag at their smell and taste. I have added fruit peanut butter and even coco nothing works. I don't like yogurt either. Feeling frustrated
  6. I am waiting on insurance approval now I am thinking the end of September

  9. I am so excited I found this thread. I had my band in Dec 2010. I am now waiting for insurance approval for bypass. I am so terrified. My sisters had the bypass and look great I wish I would have done the same in 2010. I have also had problems with restriction in my band. I have had several occasions where I was so full I could not swallow my own saliva reflux and pain in my chest that is unreal. I would have to wait until the next morning to go in and have fluid removed. This has been awful. I am praying for a better experience with the bypass. Please keep me on your prayer list.
  10. I am also new to this site. I had a lap band 2 years ago. I lost 79 pounds and felt great even though I was still 204 pounds. I went through a vet stressful situation and started gaining weight back. I am devasted now. I have gained 50 pounds back. I am now having trouble walking long distances climbing stairs and other personal things. I am now waiting on insurance approval. Are any of you scared of this procedure to the point at times you know this is what you want and then you are afraid to have it done. Just need some encouragement. Thanks for listening
  11. Congratulations on your surgery date
