  1. So I am down 32 pounds and I am 1 month and 2 days out from surgery that was on February 28th. My husband is 11 days post op and I am hoping he has an easier time than I did. I swim 1.5 hours 3 days a week and I do water aerobics too. Got a treadmill and I am moving it in our bedroom today so I can walk for 30 minutes a day while the hubby and I watch TV. I am still of work for 2 more weeks and I am on soft foods which has been a hit and miss but I feel like I am getting used to listening to my body and I hope that continues. Just took a picture of my face to show just how much thinner my face is. The first picture was taken in October not even my heaviest, and the other was last week. I was cleaning house so it's not to fancy but wanted to show some progress. Keep up the good work February losers!!!!
  2. I am so happy!! Went to my second post op with my surgeon and I am down 20 pounds and thank god I can eat!!! Things taste so good and I needed that fuel so I can workout and do my water aerobics. I am feeling like a new person!! I made my hubby dinner last night, chicken enchiladas which is his favorite. So I had a lil refried beans with cheese verde sauce and a little chicken out of the enchiladas. It was heaven!! So what is everyone else eating for soft foods. I would love some recipes
  3. So I just got a call from the NUT telling me that even though I called last Friday and asked if I could have yogurt that she does not want me to eat yogurt. She said she consulted another NUT and they told her she had given incorrect info. I haven't had a shake since Friday because I was eating yogurt. I have a hard time choking these shakes down. And I feel like I am starving!! I am so bitchy and weak and have like no brain power. I went to the store and forgot all my bags at the check out because I am in a constant fog. My second pre op with my surgeon is Thursday and then I can do soft foods which sounds like heaven. My husband is having his bypass on April 25th and he is eating pizza and mcdonald's and I have to smell it and it makes me want to cry!!! This is my 3rd WLS and it's been the hardest!! My husband has no idea what he is in for!! I did water aerobics last night a whole hour but barely made it through because I feel weak. I am so discouraged and feel really depressed about having to try to get shakes down. My NUT did say I could put in a tbsp of yogurt in and I did that but it still is just gross to me. What about like sf candy to suck on has anyone been approved to do that?
  4. I was really stressed about the drain too! But it was quick and didn't hurt very much just felt weird. I feel so much better having that thing removed!!
  5. I had surgery on February 28th and this was actually my 3rd weight loss surgery. I had lapband in 2008 and lost 100 pounds then it slipped and actually the band was really bad for me at least the whole time. Had VSG in 2010 in Mexico and now the bypass. This surgery has been the hardest and I had a couple complications and the pain was really bad for me. I am out 18 days and was ok with the Protein drinks week one because I was starving but then it got so bad I couldn't get them down anymore!! So I called my nutritionist and she said I could have yogurt....thank the lord!! I was so grouchy to my husband because I could smell his food even though he was in another room. I have been eating yogurt and getting my protein in with no shakes I can't take them anymore!! This Thursday I get to start my mushy stage and I am so happy!!! Anyone else able to eat yogurt 2nd week?
