  2. Excellent....ooooh thats a lie :-). had a breakfast disaster yesterday. me and my adventerous side decided against the better judgement of my sane side to try a turkey sausage, egg white on a tiny whole wheat bagel.for breakfast. had two very very well chewed bites and it got STUCK like a car on the Schykill expressway (philly ref) it was so bad i had to get off the trolley to get "relief " ....took two hours to get my shit back together again. i really hate these eating lessons ....... oh well back to scrambled eggs. Damn you Bagels !!!! lol
  3. Awesome! have a great day RJ
  4. Rhyzell, i do a similar thing. i wear military style belts and the tail keeps getting longer and longer :-) great to see your doing so well . save that belt as a future trophy
  5. my team has said the more protien the better. I average 80 to 100 g per day. from my understanding that hair is basically protien the more you feed it the less the hair loss....makes sense. the biotin. came from a fellow RNY patient who had the surgery 8 months before me and she had had minimal hair issues. so it comes from actual experience. and Cathy has a powerful head of red hair :-) hope this helps.
  6. How is your daily protien intake? taking Biotin?
  7. looling great Julee, i can see it, cheeks, jowles, eyes, shoulders and neck. these are only head shots so its a tough question to answer. i struggle with the the same issue then i check out my hiney in the mirror and lots of action going on back there :-) have a great day RJ

  9. Sara.....im over the moon happy for you. i was very emotional when i cracked the 100 barrier....i am emotional now reading this. a big virtial hug from me. RJ
  10. Protien shake. its easy and i can grab on the go. its fills me up and helps burn fat.
  11. vitacost.com is a great source for Protein and Vitamins at very good prices and more than $35 and shipping is free. ( not trying to sell you anything) just a tip until you find local shops and they have some great natural foods that are hard to find. I live in the Philadelphia area and natural foods can be a challange :-)
  12. I was surprised how spices do not bother me. maybe because they are in smaller portions. i use Lousiana hot sauce in lots of dishs... great on eggs . Again since you eat in such smaller portions you may find, like alot of your fellow RNYers that you want very bold, spicy , savory, tastes. since the majority of sweets are off the table for a very long time if not forever is my understanding.
  13. I lived off of Hummus and started day one of the soft food phase also refried Beans are also great. I would add unflavored protien powder to them, at that stage if you are going to the trouble of eating make it count as a protien
  14. Way to go Julee! im impressed :-)
  15. Way to go Julee! im impressed :-)
  16. Im 3 months out and it still happens , mainly when im introducing new food . start small and chew. keep a list of what works and what doesn't. Either way you wont forget it . some foods for me that suck and get stuck are salad greens ( horrible feeling ) Watermellon Tortillas Bananas stay away from anything the is "dry" So far everything else seems to be moving along . my Surgeon say try them in 4 more weeks . I did and they still dont woirk ...oh well RJ

  19. Just walked in at 430 on a Saturday afternoon to find no one has posted today. This is a good indicator that all of us are out enjoying life :-) i myself just popped in to change, take my vitamins and hydrate then head out to a local irish pub to see my buddys band tonight. Who else is with me....LIFE IS AWESOME AND GETTING BETTER EACH AND EVERYDAY...can i get an Amen! RJ
  20. Alert: little victory.... not sure this is an actual victory or more of a happy observation? last night was hijacked by three friends and we had a good old fashion midnight cruise. made a pilgrimage to the Llanderch Diner. This local diner in 2012 became a semi famous spot to go in Delco when they filmed a large scene in it from the movie " Silver Linings Playbook" well for years i could not fit into a booth. but last night i fit with room to spare. ahh a return to a normal existance is a welcome relief......had an awesome time.
  21. Thats fantastic news
