  1. For those who have had surgery... Mine was the 3rd.. I'm worried I'm over-eating on my liquids.. I had about 7oz. Of soup and didn't feel full.. I stopped because of the amount... Anyone else had this concern? I thought you were supposed to feel full quickly? My doctor says up to 8oz is ok while on the liquid diet.
  2. I think when you are at a comfortable weight and are happy where you are at, doing a consult won't hurt.. Just don't rush into anything! :-)
  3. My uncle was over 400lbs before he started.. After his 2 year mark he had skin removal done and over his stomach, arms, and legs, they removed 27lbs!
  4. I can deal with a little extra skin while i consider getting it corrected... I figure my overall quality of life is already improving and I just had surgery Monday! It's a big process but most importantly it's feeling confident in ourselves too!
  5. Had surgery Monday and feel pretty good! Gas has been the worst part, but taking some gas-x really helped me this evening after drinking some milk.. Thought I was dying! Belly is slightly sore but nothing worse than a lot of crunches feeling. Officially down 4lbs since surgery day!
  6. Very well put! A lot of crunches.. Now if the gas bubbles would go away!
  7. Good luck! I'm at 10:45am :-) HW: 350 SW: 334.8 CW: 304

  9. Chicken broth... Pre- surgery diet
  10. I won't miss sitting on the floor to pick my kids toys up, I won't miss squeezing into a booth if no tables are available, I won't miss achy feet after sitting, I won't miss my grandmothers remarks of how pretty I would be if I was skinnier, I won't miss being self conscious, I won't miss being embarrassed about undressing in front of my husband, perhaps sex with the light on!
  11. Congrats! My big day is Monday, I can't wait!
  12. June 3rd at 10:45am... Nervous but more excited!
  13. I cannot wait to get out of bed and not have my feet hurt anymore :-)
  14. I'm not worried about the scary stuff!! I knew the risks starting the process I just keep reminding myself of everything I have to look forward too!!
  15. Hello everyone! I'm 28 and will be having my surgery June 3rd.. Husband has been pretty mum on the whole surgery thing.. Excited and slightly nervous!
  16. Just got my date today! June 3rd.. Super excited! A little nervous! I can't wait to be healthy again though :-). They wanted me to go into surgery next Thursday! As exciting as that would have been I can't miss my best friends wedding the following weekend while I'm recovering. I knew 2013 was my year!
  17. I have UHC and the 6mo supervised diet is a requirement for some employers not all. So I would check specifically what your plan requirements are. I have UHC and I had to complete the 6mo weight loss diet. I just met with my surgeon and submitted everything so now I have a waiting game of 15 days....
