  1. Today is my 9 months anniversary!! I couldn't get the old photo to be straight! Its a mirror of my life and how it used to be!!! LOL!!
  2. I thought it was just me! I've been freaking out! I keep drinking and eating protein, but mostly in the evenings, I feel like I need something else. I still do Greek yogurt and green tea at nite.
  3. Yeah, I forgot about that and I was on the Mirena! I had it removed and the first couple of cycles were crazy! Add hormonal imbalances to that.....
  4. Beef with broccoli and a little bit of brown rice. Can't tolerate the rice too well, but with the soy sauce, it was ok.
  5. I am so sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you and your sister. I only have one daughter as well, I will be thinking about you both.
  6. That was the first letter I received from my insurance company, to let me know that they would not be paying anything for surgery! They reminded me that the surgery was approved, but you will have issues with sagging skin, etc., and it would not be covered.
  7. Oh yeah, I thought I would add this: it's weird, but several women became pregnant after surgery! I had the Mirena implant, but I also developed fibroids which was not visible until I lost some of that fat! Now my doctors have a better handle on my whole being!
  8. Congratulations! Several people became pregnant in our group as well right after surgery! It should be on the list of things that no one told you about when having this surgery!
  9. You'll be fine, just start over and do some Protein Shakes for a couple of meals. You'll be back on track In no time!
  10. Take it easy, get your water in and make sure you walk!
  11. Depending on how much you've lost you should get another sleep study done. I have stopped using mine completely! So excited bout that and the doctor told me not to use it because it can cause problems if you don't need it anymore.
  12. There are so many things, but here goes: 1) How emotional you will feel when someone says you look great, or amazing and you wonder what they thought you looked like before. 2) How much you will need to change clothes sizes, including underwear! I have spent a lot of time in Goodwill and Walmart/Target. Dont' spend alot of money on clothes at first, you won't be in them long. 3)No one can tell you how great you feel, but my doctor was right about not regretting the surgery, I haven't had one regret! I love the new me!!
  13. I drink a glass of wine at least 3 times a week. I hv not had any trouble with it. Really? I have not tried any wine or other beverages other than water and unsweetened tea, and just a little of that with some Spelnda. Oh, I do drink the diet lemonade at Chick Fil A when I'm working at the mall part time! But that's about it.....i LOVE wine, so I may give it a try for New Years!!
  14. You have been doing great, don't be so hard on yourself! The holidays have come and gone and you will get back on track, I'm sure most of us have been tasting and trying different things we wouldn't normally try/have. Just remember why we did this and get back on track as soon as you can, we are in the home stretch! Most of the early April people have already met their goals, and we will get there too!
  15. Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Like some of you, I tried to eat a spoonful of everything during dinner, especially things I knew I wouldn't have once I returned home! I can't cook the homemade goodies like my elder family members, so I packed a few items and brought them back home. I think the hard part is over, and it wasn't really that hard. After 8 months, I think I'm learning how much I can handle, and when I'm full, I just stop. New Year's isn't that bad, I'm just trying to figure out what I'm going to do to celebrate. We may go to church and bring it in that way, not sure yet. What are you guys' plan? I'm not sure how to include a pic, but I'll try. This format is different. Here is one of my daughter and me at Thanksgiving dinner. And another one before going to a family function. I'm still getting used to having a smaller face, and my family is still freaking out about it!
  16. You look amazing! Great job. I love good will! One of my friends asked me if they did gift cards! I guess I shop there a lot!
  17. Me too! I am always cold now. I've never had that experience before. One of my friends told me today, welcome to the other side! See what skinny girls have to deal with, we're always cold! I've never considered myself "skinny" EVER!!!!! What a journey!
  18. My daughter bought us some boots from Belk, they were $19.99 so she got a couple of pairs! I haven't worn boots and leggings, but got tons of compliments from friends and family.
  19. Where's the rest of our topic?
  20. The same for me! My daughter makes fresh guacamole or salsa and it is great! I slice avocados and can eat them by themselves!

  22. You guys are great! We can make it through this holiday because we have each other!
  23. I absolutely love the black beans instead of pintos! Not sure which one has the most protein, but they are good, you should give them another chance. If you have a Chipotle nearby, try it. Let us know what you think. You can even try the canned ones, some are already flavored. I lived on those in the beginning when meat didn't work.
