I randomly get sharp pains at one of my incisions...does this happen to anyone else? 5 days post op

Its great to have a good support system..I think it makes it even more difficult if you have ppl around who just dont get it. Im just 5 days post op and still learning how to deal with all of this...Just gotta take it day by day. And with the help of everyone here...it makes each day a little easier. Especially seeing ppl who had their surgery months ago and know exactly what we are dealing with. With this weightloss community you are not alone!

Same here! I didn't realize how hard it was going to be either...it hit me today and i had a melt down for a sec lol Gotta hold it together...We got this! Lol

Every morning since surgery I wake up and i feel like crap. Is this normal? It doesn't last all day just in the morning... 6 days Post Op

Same here. Im only 6 days post op and started to get hungry..or so i thought. Lol but whenever i get that feeling ill just have some broth, which actually acts like a meal for me..I look forward to it lol Or ill eat jello...orange jello has become my fav lol.

Thanks ladies, I had my surgery July 18th and i thought i was going to b on my period since it usually lasts a week, but that pre op diet i was on for two weeks changed it! Lol and only lasted 4 days! Im happy i didnt have to deal with the surgery AND my period at the same time..lol

Ugh..yeah...Im feeling like thats going to b my situation. I mean looking in the mirror now, my stomach sticks out way more than it did pre op...although im on a liquid diet still...my scale stopped working so im not sure if ive lost any weight, but just looking at me, it sure doesn't look like it...but i guess i gotta b patient.

Im 5 days post op and so tired of this liquid diet..Well not so much the broth..i do kinda look forward to that, but just the constant sipping and drinking of water/crystal light ugh! I just cant wait until i can move on to stage 2 pureed diet....Oh and is it just me or does anyone else feel or felt bigger after surgery? It could just be in my head but i feel bigger than before i went in for surgery. Hmmmm ???? Sorry just kind of venting, lol I know I just gotta get over it and go with the flow..

How long after having RNY do you notice any weight loss? I lost 16 lbs before my surgery, and couldn't even tell.

Wow...Im only 4 days post op, and since surgery crushed ice has been my new best friend! I love it...i eat it all day long actually lol

I have prescriptions i have to take and I find it soooo difficult to swallow the pills...Even my pain meds are in pill form. I feel like the pills get stuck on my throat. I dont want to drink to much Water when i take them so it makes it hard. Any tips on how to make it a little easier?? 4 days post op

So I just had my surgery 4 days ago...I didnt really have any gas pains until the third day..I woke up at 3am to walk around my house because I was hurting so bad!...Will this last forever? Or is this still gas from the air they put in my stomach?

So I had my surgery yesterday! My surgeon said everything went great. When i woke up my stomach was killing me! I kept falling asleep and waking up while in recovery..Today they started my liquid diet, but i have no desire to put anything in my mouth except these ice chips. They took away my PCA this morning so now im forced to drink liquid medicine for the pain. It is so nasty. And hardly WORKING. I walked last night, that was painful, and walked again not too long ago this morning..and felt a little better. But after my morning walk im feeling a little crappy again. :/
