I am a mother of three wonderful young ladies, two are graduated and one going into grade 10. I have been married to a wonderful man for 21 years. I live in a very small town in Alberta, Canada. When I was 12 I was in a very bad motorcycle accident which shattered my ankle, and back then there was no surgery to repair it. When I turned 40 I was at the point where I had to have that ankle fused into place. Knowing that this is my last results for me to walk I knew I needed to loose some weight. For three years I tried to loose weight and did as many programs as I could and nothing was working, Doctors recommended the surgery. Chickening out the first time I decided I had to do this for myself and my family. I am glad I never changed my mind and wish what I know now I would have done this many years ago. So far with the surgery I am please with what is happening and every day I just make it a new day and put aside what happened the day before. This time next year I hope that I can come back to this page and add what things have changed.
