  1. Yay!!!! You go, girl!!!!
  2. I am so ready for my home to be back to normal. My mom has been here for 1 week and I don't know when she is going home.
  3. Anyone else who is post op have a sharp pain on their left side near the rib cage? I have been having this on and off since yesterday. I am feeling great otherwise, and I don't want to panic that it is anything major, but on the other hand... I want to stay on top of it.
  4. This may be TMI, but I am curious. So, I am doing really well. Better than I could ever expect. I am getting in lots of fluid and protein. I started having gas a couple of days ago, but no bowel movement yet. Should I be concerned? I keep thinking there is really nothing in there to come out. Sorry for being so open. I tend to have no filter on my conversations.
  5. If you are unsure, then stay one more night. It would be better to be sure.
  6. Its a great place to be! I am glad you have found that peace.
  7. Praying that all goes well from this point forward.
  8. I think you probably could mix it in with water. I just sipped it just like everything else. Today it wasn't quite as bad. I don't have liquid vicodin. I have a small oxycodone pill.
  9. My sweet hubby went to the local CVS and found me some liquid tylenol. It tastes yucky!
  10. Thanks for the information!
  11. The switch was hard for me too! Today has been a little rough compared to my first day after surgery. I am burping, but still not the other end. I think I will feel much better once that happens! I have had a hard time finding liquid tylenol. I am trying not to use the narcotic pain meds as often. I finally found some on amazon, and it will ship to me next week. I still believe that I am recovering well. Looking forward to feeling normal again, though. On a positive note... I have not been hungry at all! And I am getting in some protein and water.
  12. I came home from the hospital last night around 8:00pm. Thank goodness someone mentioned bringing a pillow. I took my meds and went to bed. Slept like a log! I didn't move until 6:30 am ! I feel like I was hit by a Mack truck! lol Overall, ,I guess I don't feel too badly considering I had major surgery just two days ago. I did great at the hospital. I wasn't in much pain at all while on the pump. I had something that was 7 times stronger than morphine. Since they took me off of that though, I have felt the pain in my stomach area. I drank lots and lots of sips yesterday. Overall, I think I had about 15 ounces in about 8 hours. It's hard because I was going by what my NUT said, and then the doctor said just listen to your pouch, and drink what you can. His goal for me over the next couple of days is 30 ounces protein and 30 ounces liquid. Eventually, I will need 60 and 60.This is really going to be like a job. Off to find some protein and get started. Hope everyone has a great day!
  13. I am having the same type experience. I think we think about the pain so long that we have it as a huge beast in our minds. I am getting ready to start my "breakfast" of 1 ounce cups of water and protein. wish me Luck and no nausea!
  14. I had my surgery yesterday around 2:00pm. I have done really well! Praise God! I had it worked up to so much more than it has been thus far. My pain has been around a 1 or a 2 all night. Walked last night around 8:30. My doctor says its possible may go home today. I will write more later.
  15. I am sitting in the hospital with my beautiful gown and fabulous socks in place. Still not feeling crazy nervous, but would love to get my drugs started.
  16. Six hours until I am sitting on the losers bench! I can feel the prayers of my friends, because I am at peace. I am thankful to be able to share this journey with you all. I will post as soon as I can after surgery
