  1. Hi everyone. I have been away for a while. I am just checking in. I had surgery on 4/4/13. My heaviest weight was 270lbs. I am down 83lbs since April. As you can imagine, I am estatic. I am dealing with self-image issues because I don't always see myself the way everyone else is. I am sure that my head will catch up to my body one of these day.

  3. Hi everyone. It has been a while since I posted anything on here. I was drinking my protein shake this morning and thinking how much I hate this SOB but I realize it is for the betterment of my body. I have lost 53lbs so far since my surgery (4/4/13) and I am feeling great. I just am struggling with what to eat. Sometimes, I forget to actually eat. I am drinking water constantly but the desire to eat comes and goes. That is why I have to drink the shakes so that I have protein in me. I had to hide my scale because I could tell I was getting obsessive about it. I started at 270 and now I am 217. I just want to get under 200 at the moment. My goal is shooting by August. I joined Zumba, Curves and SkyZone (trampoline exercise class). I feel invigorated and inspired everytime I leave a class. I noticed that I am not good with accepting compliments. That is something I have to work on. I almost want to downplay what is going on with me. Isn't that strange?

  10. I bought all the necessary items to eat during this stage but I am confused as to how much I should be eating. Is it too much? Is it too little? I am one week post op now. Any suggestions would be helpful.

  15. Hi everyone. This is 4th day post-op and I still feel uncomfortable, stomach upset, feel pain at times when drinking. I am moving around better this morning but not up to getting outside. Is this normal?
  16. Feeling icky today. Had surgery on Thursday. When do you start to feel good?
  17. Surgery went went. Really sore. Exhausted and unable to sleep.

  19. That is exactly how I am feeling. I will also have my surgery on Thursday, April 4th and I am still shocked that the day is fastly approaching. It is freaking me out too. I can't believe I actually survived this two-week diet. I too, lost 15 lbs and now I am addicted to stepping on that dang scale. Before I would not even look in its direction. You are going to do great. Don't look at it as going under...look at it as coming out. We are about to embark on a whole new journey in our lives. Good luck and best wishes.

  21. @ SemperFiWife...isn't that crazy? We definately have to follow each other to watch the progression. Good luck to you. By the way, I had to bravely walk past the bagels and pastries this morning at work. That was monumental. Baby steps...baby steps.
  22. Congrats. You look amazing. Truly inspired me to keep on this journey.

  25. OMG, I am so excited for you. Wow! I have never been a single digit my entire life. Currently, I am a 24 (tight) so the thought of being an 18 is exciting. I can't imagine putting on a 9/10. I am so proud of you.
  26. This is day six of my two week liquid diet and everyday I stare at that stupid shake cup with disgust and love all at the same time. I know that I will hate drinking it but I know I will love the results in the end. So far, 10lbs down. This has been one of the hardest things I have done. I never realized how much I was addicted to chewing. I actually got all excited yesterday, when I realized that next Tuesday I didn't have to drink another shake. Crazy how I got happy about that. Tons of SF Jello, popsicles, broth (organic), Water. I too have managed to get four shakes a day down. Five is overload for me. You can do! Trust me, I thought I was going to fail after day three. I wish you the best. My surger is April 4th. fingers crossed
  27. I wish he did. He definately is a rare find. If one happens to show up, I will send him your way. Ha Ha. I read him what you wrote about him and he was very honored that you remembered what he said. So sweet.
