Jogging..... What?
It takes time to stop feeling like the 'fat girl'. If you're able do everything you mentioned you must not be that girl anymore! Those feelings will go away. Maybe that feeling you have of being watched IS real. MAYBE they ARE sneaking peeks at you... and wondering if they can keep up! :-)

I thought it would hurt so I was afraid to try, until I woke up on my left side one morning. My first thought was "Oh crap! What have I done!" My second thought was "This doesn't hurt at all!" I was about a week out. :-)- Slow weight loss
There is no 'normal' and you can't just your loss by anyone else's. There is no ruler that says at two weeks you lose this, at four weeks you lose this, etc. Everyone is unique. If you follow your doctor's instructions and do everything they say, it'll come off. Have you tried taking measurements to judge any changes?- Back to work tomorrow
You are off to a great start! Wishing you well on your first day back on the job. Remember to sip, sip, sip. :-)- Great day today

I have been so bored, doing nothing much. Today I decided to cut the grass. It had rained a lot, the grass was long, and my hubby was too busy to cut it. We have 1 1/2 acres, 3/4 of it is grass, and half of that is on flat ground (the rest is steep hill). I figured I could cut the flat areas and leave the rest for my hubby. My mower is self-propelled and I use the mulcher so I don't have to empty the bagger. So I did it. I took it slow and every half hour I took a fifteen minute rest and drank my water. I was a little nervous so I paid attention to my body - it didn't send me any warning signals. Then I spent the afternoon with my dogs on the deck. Now if only I can get my husband to get out there and finish his part...- tired

After surgery I got prescriptions for Oxycodone (pain), one for nausea which I filled but never needed, doxicycline suspension (for my rosacea), and a script for liquid prevacid (which I didn't fill - I had chewables already that they said were okay). I already had synthroid that I could crush to take. I only used less than half of the pain meds. I'd like to get it out of my house but the drugstore won't take it back and our local drug disposal program won't take narcotics. The pharmacist actually took monwrap it in newspaper and stuff it in my trash. My daughter, a conservation biologist, freaked out at that. They don't want other people to get a hold of this stuff yet you don't have disposal options. Anyone know how I can responsibly get rid of it?- Constipation
I'll ask about the milk of magnesia tomorrow morning. :-) The whole idea of any bowel trouble freaks me out...- Pain again ;(

I know all doctors have different rules for us follow. I was told 'no pills or tablets' for 30 days. But I was told to take a stool softener daily, which ONLY comes in liquigels. I couldn't even find it in a crushable tablet form. Hence the vile foul liquid. Which is now making me sick. Last night I was trying to mask the foul taste so I mixed it with a little applesauce, which didn't help at all! Shortly afterward I started getting cold sweats, severe gas, light-headedness, and nausea. I felt like I needed to go to the bathroom but didn't. I sat there battling the gas and nausea for about 20 minutes, before the feeling began to slowly pass. I felt okay about an hour later. Doesn't that sound like 'dumping'? Could two teaspoons of liquid medicine and a tablespoon of applesauce make me 'dump'? So many of you are allowed to take pills immediately post-op. Does anybody have any problems relating to the pills? I'm calling my doctor's office tomorrow about this issue. I really just want to take the liquigels, which worked great for me pre-op. :-(- over eating 3 wks out

Sounds like something worth asking your doctor about, even though it sounds like a non-emergency. They would be able to tell you if it's something to be concerned about or if there were other signs of possible problems to look for. You're not that far out and that is what they are there for. Aside from that it sounds like you are doing awesome! I'm having trouble getting all my fluids... and Protein? I'm not even close on that! The taste of the powder, or even the THOUGHT of the powder, is grossing me out. I'm finding food smells pretty unappealing right now, too. How are you getting all your protein?Account
