    BOWEL MOVEMENT REGULARITY

It all depends on how far out from surgery you are. The protein, calcium and iron are constipating for me. My surgeon said no senna and to not go over 2 days without bm. The stool hardens if it sits in the lower colon/ rectum. Even using milk of magnesium, stool softeners I have to used Fleet enema to get it started then GI fine. I've felt like I was birthing a watermelon at times. Not fun. I would check with doctor to see what they recommend I always keep Fleet enemas on hand.
  3. It could. I would check with my doctor. We've gone through too much to mess it up with alcohol. I'm afraid to even have a glass if wine.

Down 82lbs 4 months post op!

You look awesome. I had my surgery 2/5/2013. I'm 5'10" & started at 245.5 I'm down 60 lbs 185.5. Plus I'm 61 yrs & need to exercise more. I have fibromyalgia therefore joint & muscle pain, but best decision I've made to have surgery. Only good things to come. Wish I hadn't gotten rid of so many clothes couple years ago when I thought I would never get into 14 or hopefully soon 12. Feels great guess I'll have to get new ones.

    Tired of getting sick!

I had around 4 weeks & it turned out to be a stricture. Had stretched & so much better.
  7. I had surgery 2/5/2013. Presurgery weight 245.5, current weight 187, goal weight 150. Woo-hoo 37 lbs. to go. I feel so much better. Would so it all over again. I'm 5'10" and 61 years old.
  8. Not suppose to have any alcohol for 1 year after surgery. Can cause ulcers.
  9. I had stricture couldn't eat 2 bites without vomiting. Had stretched & made all the difference in the world. So much better.

    Stricture

I had mine around 8 weeks, but probably started earlier since I was only doing liquids before. Two bites, pain, then had vomit - lot of foam. Even liquids got hard to take without vomiting. Felt bad very tired no energy. Thank God much better after dilated. Now no problem.

I'm 5'10" too. Had my surgery 2/5/13. I'm down 54 lbs. I need to exercise more. Also, I'm 61 which I think I lose slower because of my age.

Sick and Dont want to eat...

I would take 2 bites of food or sometimes liquid & I would vomit. Really got bad I couldn't eat anything. Dr. said really not a complication 5% of patients would develop. I had it before surgery several years ago due to GERD.
