  1. Good Luck all March Surgery patients!!! May God be with you all and hope everyone has a speedy recovery!
  2. My doctor just told me Friday that I don't have to do any pre-op diet !!! I am thanking The Lord above for that!! Also, I don't have to do any type of cleanse I keep hearing about either.
  3. I'm hoping too Penny!!!! Maybe you could stay in ahotel the night before surgery.. Somewhere close to the hospital? Just a thought
  4. Only a few more days for you Penny!!!
  5. From what I have seen it differs from Dr to Dr. Some have 2 weeks of all liquid, some can have a meal for dinner, I only have to do a week with dinners so I think you should call your Dr. To find out what he/she wants you to do
  6. That's awesome penny!!! I'm soo happy for you! So I did get my call yesterday and I have my final pre-op with the surgeon and nut on Friday then I'm all set to go !
  7. I go for my pre-op with surgeon Friday, and they told me 1 week pre-op diet with no specific amount to loose
  8. I start my pe-op diet tomorrow. Mine sounds like yours. I am supposed to have a protein shake for breakfast and lunch. Water in between with no snacks. Then have a dinner of protein and veggies except they told me 4 oz protein and half the plate veggies that are low carbs like no peas, beans potatoes or carrots. And the plate needs to be a small plate not a dinner plate... But I think what u had sounds good!!! Keep up the good work! It won't be long for either of us !
  9. Good luck penny!!! I haven't had the hospital call me yet, on Wed. I will start my pre-op diet. My coordinator was sick last week but said she would call me first thing tomorrow morning and go over everything with me! I can't wait! It hasn't really sunk in yet, I think once she calls and the ball continues to roll it will be more real to me!
  10. My Nut said we can have coffee after surgery as long as it is decaf. I also asked about creamer and sugar and she said we can have creamer as long as it is non-diary AND sugar free as well as sugar substitute for the sugar. So I should be ok! Only thing, maybe I'm dumb but I can't seem to find a creamer that u refrigerate that says non dairy on non lactose... Is that the same??? Is International Delight sugar free French vanilla non-dairy???
  11. Sorry penny I just glanced back... I had a brain fart!!! Monday will be 2weeks away for u and wed is 2weeks for me!!!
  12. I'm not sure where that is, I live in Gloucester county. It's the middle peninsula... I believe you are north of me a few hours!
  13. At my nutrition class the dietician said if you don't get enough protein or enough water it can stall your weight loss, she also said everyone is different... Some loose more in the beginning and slow down later and some people loose weight slow in the beginning and have rapid weight loss later. Everyone looses weight at different speeds and not to get too concerned as long as you are doing everything right. Good luck and I'm sure you will be fine!!!
  14. Hey Penny! Where in Va are you from. I'm from the Hampton Roads area. Yes, ate surgery dates are like 3 weeks away!!! I'm getting more nervous as time draws closer...
  15. My surgery is scheduled for March 13!!! I am also somewhat nervous about it, but I think the thing I wonder and fret about is loose skin after achieving my goal weight... I have heard some people say it will mainly go back into place and others say it won't.
  16. My surgery date is set for March 13, 2013 !! Less than 4 weeks from now and I am soo very excited and nervous all at the same time! I have a nutrition class on 2/18, pre-op clearance with my PCP the next day as well as all lab work, ultra-sound, EKG, and x-ray. Then my psych eval on the 21st! This next few weeks is going to fly by !! Good luck to everyone having surgery in March... Lets stick together and loose this unwanted weight!!!
  17. Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and still trying to navigate my way around the site! My name is Mary, I am 32 from Va. I have finally decided to take the plunge! My surgery date is set for March 13, 2013 !!! I have less than 4 weeks to go! I am very excited and can't wait to transform my life to a better healthier one. I have struggled with being obese since about 6 months after my first son was born back in 1998! I have been trying relentlessly to get thinner but it just seems like the weight wont budge... On top of that I have had pseudotumor cerebri (IIH) for over 4 years now and hopefully ahen I loose the weight I will loose that too!
