  1. I got the 6000msg pills
  2. My husband left the entire decision up to me. He has been so supportive throughout this whole process. I am so blessed to be his wife. A good support system is KEY! Our relationship has only gotten better since the surgery (because I'm happier with me).
  3. Exercise!!!!! Even if its just a 30 minute walk EVERY day!!! I hated going to the gym but now it's my favorite part of my day. I'm challenging myself more and more and I can't believe what I've accomplished. I am about 6 months post op and I'm down 94 lbs.
  4. I have found the most difficult thing to adjust to has been the no drinking 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after I eat. I'm very strict with it but will it ever get easier????
  5. I got the copper iud after having my baby and had to have it removed two months later because it slipped and was growing into my uterus. Soooo painful but others say they loved it
  6. Got biotin!!!! Praying I see a change
  7. Going to get some tomorrow after work!!!!! Thanks
  8. My nutritionist said for every 8 oz of coffee you must add 16oz of water to your daily intake.
  9. Denver, CO had my surgery on Ft. Carson
  10. Had surgery on a Monday got discharged that weds. Two weeks later had to go back into the hospital for 7 days due to uncontrollable vomiting (not everyone gets that). After I left that time I was great til I had a massive gall bladder attack 3 months later. Had to get my gall bladder out (common due to rapid weight loss) been amazing ever since
  11. I had bypass because I had bad acid reflux before surgery and the sleeve can sometimes make it worse. My GERD is gone now!!!
  12. 6 weeks!!!!
  13. I have tricare and it took 6 months from my first appt with the surgeon til my surgery. I was required to take nutrition classes, pass a psych eval, go to mandatory support group and wellness/fitness classes. It was tedious to say the least but I had lived so long unhealthy and overweight that six months was worth the wait. It's now been almost six months since my surgery and I'm thankful for all the classes they made me go through. My whole life has changed! Just be patient you will be so happy you stuck with it. I went through Ft. Carson in Colorado. I recommend Dr. Robert Wilcox to EVERYONE!!!!!
  14. I am getting a minimum of 65g of protein a day and my hair is still falling out in clumps. I've always had thick hair and now it's noticeably thin. I'm going to try biotin. I'm desperate. My surgeon said that its not a vitamin deficiency that going through the surgery causes your hair to go on the same dying cycle when I usually is random.

It will have been 6 months since my surgery on February 6,2013 and my hair is falling out like CRAZY. I know some loss is to be expected, but this is drastic. I take vitamin B1 thiamin. Is there anything else I can do??????

  17. I started the depo shot 2 weeks ago. My surgeon said that its ok to take it but he doesn't recommend it for longer than two years. Just make sure that you are taking all of your calcium suppliments. It's very important not to get pregnant in the first two years post op, so the dr. Said that the benefits outweigh the cons.
