  1. Has anyone tried these? I bought the appletini and it is alright. It tastes like a green apple. I am wondering how the others taste before I try them again.
  2. Someone told me the isopure ones are good. I thought it tasted like fruit punch barf.
  3. are any of them red or have drainage
  4. Yeah, he has been super helpful. I feel bad because he does work midnights and has so much to do around here, now he has to tackle changing this thing for me. He is worried because we found out I have some type of blood problem where my blood clots weird and I bleed out more than normal. I'm also anemic. So among all this I will have to see a blood specialist as to why this is happening. I think it is the fact my doctor has us stop taking vitamins two weeks before surgery and a week after surgery. A person's body can't go that long in my opinion. Did you get a survey to do on the hospital you stayed at? Maybe you should put that on the survey about the nurse you had. How much weight are you down? I weighed this morning but I'm still pumped up with fluids from being in the hospital, I'm down 22 lbs.
  5. lol least you have a PCP that will give you what you want. Errr...It's getting close to the time to change this lovely thing. My bf has to change it because it's in a place I can't see all that well. It hurts like a mother freaker when it gets changed lol. I slept soo long like 10 hours. I swear the hospital will drive you crazy!! Someone is always coming in all hours. If I was lucky to go to sleep it wasn't more than 2 hours at a time. The last day I was there I felt like such a skank because I didn't get to shower. The protein shakes they wanted me to drank, tasted and smelled like something from straight up toilet. I said there is no way. The doc already told me I didn't have to drank them. The nurse was trying to convince me I had to drink at least one of them so I could go home. I told her if she thought they were tasty then be my guest. lol
  6. They said it is pretty rare for a bariatric patient to get blood clots that size. And apparently mine wasn't just something that started up one day, it got progressively worse as time went on. I did have back pain eventually, it was my side that hurt the most. If you have pain that is not controlled by medicine and it is persistent pain, then go to the er or call your surgeon. It could be something as simply as being dehydrated. You couldn't tell by looking at me, that there was anything wrong with me, heck the er doctor thought I pulled a muscle. I got a CT scan.
  7. well everyone it has been a long road to recovery. Sunday night I ended up going to the er because my side was still hurting even with the roxicet. I could barely move. They said it sounded like a pulled muscle and did a ct. Well, it was more like a very large blood clot above my drain incision. My regular stomach was infected and swelling, and said if I had waited it could of popped out of my skin. I had surgery to remove the clot on Monday, which left me with an open wound. I just got out of the hospital today. I now have to pack my wound twice a day, pretty gross thing, take a bunch of antibiotics, and see a blood specialist sometime soon.
  8. I really need to vent...Today has been a horrible freaking day. Above my drain incision has hurt all day, even with pain meds. If I moved a certain way it felt like something was pinching me. I've been trying to avoid going to the er and waiting till the doctors office opened tomorrow to call them. On top of all that had to deal with my bf eating a whole pizza in front of me, and sleep until after 1pm. I can't sleep more than an hour because something ends up hurting cause I'm sleeping in a recliner couch. If I knew it was going to be like this I wouldn't of had this surgery.
  9. I had surgery on the 16th. My bf still insists on eating whole pizzas, half box of fish sticks etc. Infact I'm sitting here with chicken broth while he eats a whole pizza. I'm getting really mad.
  10. I had surgery on Monday. I went to work today to get my schedule and people kept commenting how pale I was. Is that normal?
  11. Yea I'm going to...I think I strained myself getting out of bed the other day.
  12. I'm suppose to go back to work next week too. Hopeful ill be able to. Above my drain incision is swollen and hard. Sometimes it feels like a pinch and when I move it hurts pretty good. How did you get a nurse to visit you
  13. What kinds of stuff did she do? I also had a nurse that was not helpful. I told her I was in pain and she said she would be back, it was almost 4 hours later.
  14. I think I might of hurt myself the other day trying to get out of bed lol. My side will hurt so bad when I try to stand up or if I walk too long. I can't wait to start the protein shakes and vitamins. I might go ahead and start them because I'm suppose to go back to work on Thursday, and at this rate I don't see it happening. I told all my friends, of course they knew I got fat after having a baby. I figure if they don't like it they don't have to talk to me.
  15. For all you september 16thers out there its been a week...how does everyone feel
  16. For some reason everytime I take a drink of anything I get the burpees. Doc said its cause of too much air.
  17. Yeah I have a rash of sorts from tape too...never thought of ice for that.
  18. Are we allowed to use a heating pad
  19. I'm losing a ton of hair now. Even bought a doo rag to cover it up
