I am almost 4 months out and down 50lbs. No complications, nor regrets. I will not have to go on diabetes medicine and am almost off high BP medicine. My asthma is so much better. I believe I can keep up with my kids now. I did this for health reasons and should have considered it years ago. I just try to follow the rules of eating and so far, so good. Everyday is a challenge, just go day by day....
I like the Unjury products. I will put 1 scoop of chocolate, and 1-2 T. powdered peanut butter into 8 oz Original Almond milk....tastes like Reese's peanut butter.
I am 53 yrs old and had surgery on Oct 24th, 2012. I was supposed to have a vertical sleeve, but the week before surgery, I had an upper endoscopy. They found Barretts esophagus, so I had the RNY procedure. Things are going pretty well. I try to get in 60 gms. of protein per day and 48 oz of water. I am down 20 lbs. and exercising 30 min per day.....whew!
