  1. I'm in Michigan too. Love JJ unwiches.
  2. Don't do this. It freaking hurts!
  3. Do you like onions and garlic? Sauté them until caramelized, stir in a spoonful of Greek yogurt, season with salt, pepper and thyme and voila...a creamy onion sauce with extra Protein.
  4. I think it's salmon burgers and roasted asparagus tonight. I'm pretty sure my husband can handle that lol.
  5. You're so sweet . I'm in bed with my foot propped up dozing away the day. My husband has to take over dinners. Poor guy lol. Luckily I stocked up on easy things. I foresee lots of scrambled eggs and tuna fish.
  6. Final diagnosis...twisting displaced fracture in my foot. Both knees sprained, and my back is sprained too. I will be sipping like a crazy person from now on.
  7. I try but drinking makes me a little nauseous. But I'll have to try harder because I am in so much pain. I can barely move.
  8. I learned first hand today that even slight dehydration can be dangerous, especially if you already have low blood pressure. I passed out twice this morning resulting in tissue damage to my knee and back, along with a very painful broken foot. I also have to stay overnight in the hospital for monitoring. So sip sip sip!
  9. It was really good, especially given that I had planned to make something else and didn't have what I needed. My husband and daughter wrapped theirs in tortillas. Mine was like a stew. So good.
  10. Lol my husband keeps telling me to write it down and make a cookbook.
  11. Chicken caramelized then stewed with onions, garlic, sweet peppers, crimini mushrooms and tomatoes spiced with cumin and chili powder. Plus roasted spicy sweet carrots.
  12. I have myself a pedicure last night. I have lost enough weight to be able to bend straight over my knees to paint my toes without getting dizzy or losing my breath. No more crazy contortions!!
  13. Turkey meatloaf with roasted cinnamon chili sweet potatoes and roasted cauliflower.
  14. It's pretty much gone now, thank God.
  15. The more the merrier . I love to cook, so I'm always playing with the foods we like to eat to make them wls-friendly. There's no reason our food shouldn't taste good. My husband has lost 15 lbs since my surgery lol. The only thing for me...since carbs are my kryptonite, I just don't eat them. No bread, pasta, rice, white potatoes. So it can be a challenge.
  16. Roasted garlic and mozzarella chicken sausage with roasted baby portobellos. Yummy and way filling. I managed 2/3 of the sausage and 1/4 cup of the mushrooms.
  17. Also, I'm a few weeks farther out than you.
  18. No, I didn't manage both. However, that's only 1/4 cup of tuna, 1 Tb light mayo, 1 tsp Greek yogurt and onions on top of two small tomato slices, topped with a total of 1 Tb of reduced fat cheese. The lettuce leaves were about 4-5 inches in diameter. All total it was about 1/2 cup of food. I ate 1 and 1/2. It's 166 calories, totally yummy and satisfying.
  19. We don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent, so tonight it's tuna melts. I'm going to broil mine on a tomato slice and then wrap it in a Boston lettuce leaf. Toast for everyone else.
  20. DOS: 11/26/12 SW: 333 CW: 276.8 Only a pound lost but since I'd gained three, I really lost 4 and I'm happy to see the scale go back down!
  21. Crab and asiago egg casserole in honor of Ash Wednesday.
