Dinner was great tonight I fixed my family some spaghetti and now that I can eat pureed food I put some of the spaghetti sauce cooked mushrooms, onions, and ground beef in my processor and blended it up really well then added some fat free mozzarella cheese and fat free cottage cheese it was amazing... 5. I'm having buyers remorse because I chose to do this to myself yes I have lost weight my surgery was 12-3 however my complications I had don't make it seem worth it I'm hurting so bad still and it's kind of upsetting to see that everyone else is having it so easy heck I spent 4 days in ICU and another 4 in a regular room they didn't even want me to go home when I did but I was missing my babies to bad
  6. Omg today I am having major buyers remorse .....,why did I do this to myself
  7. I finally got the ok from my doc to eat full liquids and purred food today so my hubby took me out and I got a small bowl of egg drop soup and could only eat about a 3rd of it maybe 1.5 ozs so I took it home and had it for dinner and still have some left lol
  8. Just get a bowl of soup and eat the liquid not the other stuff I think they have a broccoli and cheese and a loaded baked potato which the soup part is amazing
  9. The drain is in place to make sure there is no internal bleeding
  10. Yeah because my surgery was on 12-03-12 so it's only been 2 weeks and 1 day
  11. So just got out of the doc office and he removed my drainage port and gave me a refill on my pain meds hes saying that everything is going great better than he expected with my complication during surgery so thats good news and finally got approval to eat full liquids and purred food that and I have lost all my weight I gained in the hospital plus some so I have lost a total of 61 lbs
  12. Sitting at the doctors office for my post op appt I can't wait to see how much weight I have lost and for them to remove my drainage port it hurts so bad being in over 2 weeks and hopefuly I can start full liquids today I would like something other than broth and popcicles
  13. My surgery was on 12-3 & I am still on liquids until tomorrow hopefully when I go to my post op appt I was on it so long to give my new pouch and other sites extra time to heal because I had some complications
  14. Its really not that bad just more uncomfortable and hard to hide under your shirt I had my surgery in 12-3 & went home on 12-11 with my drain tube but I get it removed tomorrow at my post op appt... But the drain was best for me because of my complication just to keep track if something was leaking inside me

  16. 18. Ok guys I need some advice... I ran out of my liquid pain meds yesterday my doctor forgot to call my refill in so I am left in full pain right now its really really bad and has me doubled over I was wondering if maybe it would be ok to take some differant pain meds that I still have it is ""loratab with acetaminphen 7.5mg""
  19. Ok guys I am 12 days post op.. My surgery was 12-03-12 @ 9am and my pre op weight was 284 and during my surgery I had a complication which left me in ICU for 5 days and 3 days in a regular room so my post op weight was 326 lbs I gained 42 lbs (((ya freaked me out))) HOWEVER when I weighed this morning I was 269 lbs so I have lost a total of 57 lbs in 12 days since my surgery
  20. OMG I'm so sorry... I feel really bad about complaining of my complication I had during my surgery however today is an off day and I am in some massive pain in my stomach and back and being on liquids has got to go I wish I could atleast have some cream soups
  21. Hang in there I'm sure you will do awsome... I can't say that I don't regret it because there are times I do but then again there are times I'm glad I had it done even with my complications ...NOT EVERYONE has complications more often than not people go through this just fine my issue wasn't from the doctor or the "surgery" its self... It was actually my stomach being so fragile that it kept busting open when they were sewing me closed but there was NO way to tell a person has that problem until you actually do the surgery but only 1 out of so many thousands have that problem and you really do have to stay positive about it because I can't afford to get depressed then I would want to eat which could be dangerous for me but good luck you will do fine I'm not sure I can really be much of an inspiration to you... There are so many more on here who are doing amazing check with them for great info
  22. My surgery was 12-3-12 @ 9am and with my complications I was in the hospital for awhile and the first 5 days I was in ICU with my face so swollen I couldnt see and the first 2 days in ICU I also still had my respirator/breathing tube in from surgery
