  6. I had a hard time with cold liquids initially post op. Try some decaf tea with Splenda and fat free milk. Also, unjury makes a chicken soup flavor protein powder. Makes a soup broth with 21 gm of protein. You can order it online. They even sell sample packs so you can see if you like it first.
  7. Yes. I had a terrible taste in my mouth too. I'm 4 weeks out and it has gone away. It's from ketosis. Ketosis occurs when our bodies use fat for energy. So it just means we are burning fat!!! Woohoo!!
  8. Hi everyone When I first had my surgery 3 weeks ago my stomach rumbled in the hospital. Since then it has gotten much better. But in the last few days it has started up again. Very gassy! When I went for my post op appointment the doctor said one of my incisions was slightly infected and put me on liquid antibiotics. I guess that could be it? Has anyone else experienced this? Plus I'm not able to get in much more than 20oz of liquid daily. And Protein maybe 40gm. Any advice would greatly be appreciated! Surgery was 10/18
  9. Good for you! Keep up the great work! It's so nice to see the hard work pay off

  11. Had surgery 10/18. Of the 5 incisions only 1 really bothers me. It's the one the stapler went in. Apparently they had to put packing in . They removed the packing before i came home on Sunday and now it's draining. Did anyone else have this problem? I also had to go to the ER this morning. Had shortness of breath but doctor said everything ok.
