  1. Tomorrow is the day! Sitting in my hotel room, just polished off a bottle of magnesium sulfate, yuk! All my pre op appointments went well today and I'll be in surgery by 8am. Lots of emotions tonight.
  2. Yes! I don't know that its second guessing, but more like mourning the loss of food. The last few days I've realized what an unhealthy relationship I had with food, and not being able to have what my husband is having is rough, but it will be worth it in the end! Good luck Tuesday! I'm driving 3 hours for my post op appointment tomorrow and surgery Tuesday as well. Good luck to you.
  3. What shakes are you guys using?
  4. Good luck! Let us know how you are doing when you are able!
  5. Aah! One week and I'll be loaded up in the car, making the 3 hour trip to the hospital to get this new life on the way! I just can't believe the whole process took exactly 30 days from start to finish...its insane! I'm getting super anxious and almost tempted to take the rest of the week off work! Sending good ju ju to all those starting a new life this week! Your stories keep me motivated!
  6. I'm super nervous! I keep wondering, if I can do it myself, but then I realize I've been fat since I was 6..lol going at it alone just isn't going to cut it! I'm super excited for my husband to see me in a way that he never has!
  7. aahhh! I had Chinese as my last meal lastnight. Man, i'm gonna miss those egg rolls! But I still love me some miso soup!
  8. My surgery is Officially October 9th. This whole process has been so quick and painless! My insurance company has been fantastic. My first surgeon appointment was September 10th, I met with the dietician and psychologist that same day. My info was submitted to insurance September 13th and I was approved September 20th. Super exited and thankful timing worked as it did.these boards have been super helpful and I look forward to losing b with all of you!
  9. Was informed thismorning that my surgery will be october 30th, unless there is a conflict at work in which case it would be october 9th. Well know for sure today after I speak with my boss. Super excited!
  10. It depends on your policy. Mine did not require any pre op diet. Info was sent in last thurs, called today and they said they were missing the psych Eval and letter from the surgeon stating that I was educated on post op procedures, so I had to call my surgeon again today and have them resubmit that info. Hoping it goes quickly now...
  11. That's great to know! I have bcbs il and my info, was submitted Thursday. Gonna call them tomorrow and follow up.
  12. My appointment was Monday, I called and they submitted info to insurance today! Hopefully I hear something soon! Sending good JuJu your way!
  13. Bow chicka Wow Wow! Great job! You're gonna do HUGE things!
  14. Met with my surgeon on Monday. Also met with the dietician and psychologist. Everything went great and they said there's no reason I shouldn't be able to have surgery (thank God! I drove 400 miles round trip to get these appointments out of the way.) Just waiting for insurance approval.I called them today to find out if i'm required to do a supervised diet before surgery and they no longer require it, which should speed everything up! Super exited for a new me! Looooove reading your stories. They are incredibly inspiring.
