  1. Thank You everyone! I was doing good but I woke up this morning had my antacid medication drank some water and started to vomit again I dunno if I should go back or just keep trying to force something down! So frustrating
  2. Oo yeah it helped a ton! They said I've got some acid issues going on they are giving me a prescription for zofran and some anti acid meds and I'll be on my way home! My surgeon said if I'm not better in 48 hours to come back and see him.. I'm hoping all goes well!!
  3. I'm at the same hospital I had surgery at. They said everything looks ok. They don't know why I'm in pain or why I'm throwing up everything. They also think my stomach is producing a lot of acid so they had me drink this nasty numbing stuff to calm it down. They won't send me home just yet. They want to keep and eye on me and they want me to feel a little better. I'm glad that everything looked ok though! I'm hoping my surgeon can stop in and see me before I leave
  4. Thanks guys. I was the same way with food and protein shakes! My doctor just thought that I needed some anti nausea medication.. He changed his mind when I couldn't even keep water down. I just had a ct scan so now I'm just waiting for results. I'll keep you all posted! I hope you feel better too Jen!
  5. 3 weeks post op feel like crap so I'm sitting here in the er waiting for some test results. I'm dehydrated because I couldn't even keep water down and I'm in pain which I'm waiting to hear something about! I think I have a case of "wth did I do to myself!"
  6. Since you don't have stomach acid to throw up you throw up foamie mucus
  7. I love laughing cow cheese! It's creamy so It goes down nice!
  8. It's had two spoons of it and I just had the fomies for about a minute straight I thought it was ok to have but I guess not! Anyone else get sick off of unsweetened applesauce?
  9. I know how you feel! I was done with broth after day two because it was just disgusting tasting to me! And I've had to be on a liquid only diet for 3 weeks!
  10. Ok that's good to know! I might call my doctor tomorrow. It's pretty constant and its throbbing but if I sleep when I wake up it's gone for a bit until I move to fast or twist lol. It's super annoying!
  11. After reading this I realized I didn't say the right area lol. It's on my left side but it's further down.
  12. Have a dull pain on my left side right under my breast. It's not a horrible pain but its annoying! I think it's just a pulled muscle because I don't have pain anywhere else and I keep my liquids down fine. Anyone else have this or had this pain? How do you make it better!?
  13. Same here. I was told 6 weeks unless all my incisions were healed then I could swim at 4 weeks.
  14. Lol I meant one cup soup to half cup skim milk 1/2 cup water.
  15. Mine said to stick with Campbell's or health smart because they have the most variety. I did a lot of cream of potato, mushroom, and cheddar broccoli. Mine just had to be strained and diluted. So it would be 1 cup milk 1/2 cup skim milk 1/2 cup water or all water. Campbell's offered all those soups in a "healthier" variety do it was less calories and what not and they went down well for me. I didn't try tomato cuz I wasn't really a fan before surgery
  16. Yum! I'm moving on to puréed here in 2 days by once I start regular foods I think this may be my first meal!
  17. I went back after two weeks too! Now I'm wishing I would have taken the full 3 weeks off lol. I'm super sore on m left side but I work in a preschool so probably wasn't the best idea to come back so soon!
  18. That's perfect and I'm going to post in on my Facebook
  19. Oh and my surgery date was 7/23/12!
  20. Day of surgery: 287 Today: 260
  21. I have wanted to... For dinner I really wanted to try my fat free cottage cheese but I'm also scared and figured I'm so close to being off my liquid diet what's a few more days? I'm moving to puréed the 13th!
  22. It's crazy how every program is different! I didn't have to do a liquid diet before surgery, but I have to do 3 week liquids post op, 1 week puréed, 1 week soft, and then I can start my regular diet. It sucks because I want to move on to something else but it's always best to just do what your surgeon says!
  23. Go on any ride I want at the amusement park and the state fair, scuba dive, and buy myself a nice new wardrobe from a normal store!
