  1. Thank you ladies!! You are all so amazing! Thank you for putting a smile on my face
  2. Thanks hun! I know it's so great to be able to have more options. I still am in a XL and between an 16-18 but I'm getting there slowly but surely!
  3. Made to 3 months post op! It hasn't been the smoothest road but I wouldn't change anything! I am so grateful for this tool and this new life! I still have more weight to lose but I'm trying to stay positive and focused on the changes I've already made!
  4. I'll have to do that more often... Put side by side pictures together. I'm also going to see my psychologist again and see if it helps talking it out with her!
  5. How's all my Minnesotans doing? Lol haven't heard from anyone for a while so just checking to see if all is well!
  6. I'll say lots of prayers! Congratulations!!!
  7. So I know it takes around a year for your mind to catch up with your body's changes but it's so frustrating! I'm really hard on myself and I'm trying not to be but I get so down in the dumps when I look at myself in the mirror! Everyone says they see such a change but I can't! Anyone else have any ideas for pushing past this? What do you do to remind yourself that you are changing?
  8. My nurse said: she doesn't believe people my age should have surgery because we are too young and still have too many life changes to go through and more "social risks" she called it... So we have a higher risk of failing. I just looked at her and said well thanks for believing in me! I switched nurses after that lol. my doctor told me too that they are considering not doing surgeries on people my age anymore in their program. I think it's dumb! So I should live the life I was living with high blood pressure and whatever else and if I live to be 40 then I can come back? I don't agree with them but oh well I got my surgery and so far I'm proving them that people my age can be successful!
  9. I had my surgery at 24! My nurse advised me not to but I want to be healthy now not wait tell later!
  10. Highest weight: 330 Day of surgery: 287 July 23rd Last week: 229 This week: 224!
  11. In 3 months post op! Woohoo! My highest weight was 330, day of surgery I was 287 and today I'm 224. I'm so happy with the weightloss and can't believe I'm 25 away from onederland! I included a before picture in the white pants and me in the dress now!
  12. I felt the same. Our hormones are just all out of wack from the huge change put bodies are going through. I talked to my doctor and she gave me something for anxiety and it has helped soooo much! Don't be afraid to talk to you doc cuz a lot of us go through this! The sooner you seek help the sooner you will start feeling better. My prayers are with you!
  13. I thjnk we all should be lol. I was on it for a while but they wouldn't refill it... And now I have an ulcer. Ops! Now I have 6 refills remaining lol
  14. Thank You all for your prayers and concern! A little update: I'm doing better. I don't have pain from the ulcer or anything and it stopped bleeding. My hemoglobin is still a little low, 9.6, but it's up from last week when it was at 9. I am a little anemic and feel slightly nauseous and dizzy from, but I'm good enough to carry on my normal activities! Thank you all again for your support!
  15. Yes! along with carafate.. I dunno why they had me stop taking it in the first place but oh well. Like you all said its a minor set back and thank you all for your support! You guys keep my spirit up!
  16. Thanks DL I'll stick to what they tell me which is add protine powder to everything! Lol I'm doin carafate in the am, then my acid meds, then having cream of wheat in the am with skin milk and protine powder, then a protine shake, then soup with added protine powder, then another shake, and then something soft like soup for dinner with protine powder added. I'll be doing this for 6 weeks :/ as long as I get better it's whatever!
  17. I wonder the same! Alls I know is I know have to go back to liquids and pureee foods for awhile. Nothing spicey or crunchy.. Dang it'
