  1. The Turkey Bites are yummy! Have you tried the Snack slices? They come in a single serving pack, about 10 little slices to a pack. 60 cal, 3.5 g fat, 6 g protein.
  2. Congrats to you both!! That is awesome. I can't wait til I get there!!

  4. My Surgeon's office sells a brand of Turkey or Ostrich Jerky. They recommend it for protein. I will have to find out the brand.
  5. I have been going thru the same thing with my feet. I bought the Dr. Scholls inserts, and a new pair of Nikes and it helps soooo much. Walked around an Apple Festival this weekend and my feet didn't hurt half as bad as they usually do.
  6. Me tooo!! I loveeee Pinterest. I do alot of the craft/DIY projects on there.
  7. Hi to the both of you and Welcome!! You will love it here, the people are awesome.
  8. I had to do the 6month program too. Well I was doing 6 months, then Cigna changed there requirements to 3, but I was already in my 5th month. So, I only got done 1 month earlier. I think having to do the supervised, gives you time to change habits, learn as much as possible, go to support groups, and generally get in the mindset you need to start your new life. Good luck, you'll do great I'm sure.
  9. Ok, now that sounds YUMMY!!
  10. That is awesome! Congrats to you. Keep up the good work!!
  11. I have a pre-op appt at the hospital (anesthesia, registrar, etc.), pre-op with Surgeon, Bone Density test, Group meeting with Nutrionist and a Group meeting with they Psychologist. Then start my liquid diet 10/5. Supposed to go on a "Girls' Weekend" trip the weekend I start my liquid diet, will be interesting. Does alcohol count on my liquid diet? hahahahahaha
  12. Good luck! You'll do great! Sending prayers and hugs....
  13. It's a mostly liquid diet, but I can have jello too, and a meat one time during the week. I have to read back thru all my paperwork again.
  14. I have to start my pre-op diet on Oct 1st. I am nervous to, but more excited than anything. I am ready to start a new me!
  15. I am Oct 15 too! I just found out today. I am so excited.
  16. I have been doing all my requirements thru a WLS, but the Insurance still required a letter from my PCP.
  17. That is an awesome idea!!! I think that would help so much. I would surely buy it.
  18. Awwww, you're awesome! I can't stop smiling! I am so happy. Now I have to get all my appts situated. She scheduled 4 when she called with a date, now I have to call the hospital and schedule the other ones.
  19. OK so apparently the person I talked to this morning had old info. Because my surgeon's office just called and I am APPROVED!!!!!! woohooooo, i'm sitting here in tears I am so excited. My surgery is scheduled for 10/15! Only a month away.
  20. Lol Mami, I seriously had to catch myself on the phone with them today. I like your idea!
  21. It's just frustrating because I've done everything else they asked of me, kept all my appts, evaluations, psych eval. Took time off from work, and they still want to be a pain. Sorry, I'm just venting here. But thanks for the well wishes.
  22. Good for you!! I'm sure it will happen more!
  23. And the fun starts, all my paperwork was submitted by my surgeon at the end of August. Then they come back and say they needed medical clearance from my PCP. So I had to make an appt to see her last week, and she wrote on her letter head that she gave me a per-op evaluation and that I had medical clearance. And of course, that'sssss not good enough. Now the insurance wants a more detailed letter from her stating that she recommends me for the surgery, and reasons, and then medical clearance. Blah blah so on and so on. They are such a pain in the a**.
  24. Sending prayers your way! You'll do great!
  25. Good luck! You'll do great I'm sure. Keep us posted!
