  1. Hey everyone. Checking in. Weightloss has stalled for me. I've actually gained a few due to the baby which is to be expected. Kinda bummed about it but it is what it is. A few more weeks til he is here then I'm hitting the gym with a fury. DOS:358 CW:270 SD:1/28/13

  5. RNY cured my 13 year horrible reign of infertility & pcos. I got pregnant about 2 weeks post op. good luck to you & your wife. DOS:358 CW:270 SD:1/28/13
  6. Well this is my personal experience with preparing meals. My husband is skinny as well and if he doesn't eat at least 3k+ cal/day he will actually lose weight without even exercising. So his meals are heavy Protein, carbs, fats etc. I am able to taste the food while cooking but most of the time will spit it out and honestly I'm physically unable to eat what I cook for him because I will get sick so it's not really a big deal for me. And if I am able to eat what I cook, it's such a minimal amount compared to what I used to be able to eat. DOS:358 CW:270 SD:1/28/13
  7. I thought I replied the other day but my wifi was messed up. TRA is where they pay your rent for one year. Remember to apply for housing in further away places if youre willing to move. Don't forget about Jersey as well. DOS:358 CW:270 SD:1/28/13
  8. Congrats!! I had RNY on 1/28 and conceived on 2/14 with a boy due on 11/14. You will be fine and might continue to lose weight while being pregnant. I'm down almost 90 lbs. If you're on fb, there's a group called Pregnant After WLS. Theyre an awesome group of women that can give you so much input and advice. DOS:358 CW:270 SD:1/28/13
  9. Idk about NY but in jersey, u can get section 8 if the list is closed if you go to a shelter for a specified amount of time. Or you get TRA where your rent is paid for you for a year. DOS:358 CW:270 SD:1/28/13

I guess everyone is different. Pre op, I wasn't much of a fan of spicy foods but would still occasionally eat hot sauce or buffalo wings. Now I can't even eat black pepper without feeling like my pouch is on fire. Sad cuz I really like buffalo wings. HW:358 DOS:338 CW:275 SD:1/28/13
  18. I had an open RNY and I don't think the manner of surgery affects the effectiveness of weightloss. Remember that every body is different and lose at different rates so just concentrate on yourself and do the best that you can and stick to your plan and goals. HW:358 DOS:338 CW:275 SD:1/28/13

  20. Tuna salad on a croissant split into 3 meals. HW:358 DOS:338 CW:275 SD:1/28/13
  21. I get it Cherry. My Fav foods are not my Favorite anymore, not because I dont like it, because it's more of a "I don't get excited anymore." I guess the RNY forced me to have a "eat to live, not live to eat" mentality so I look at food in terms of nutrition now. For instance, when I see a piece of chicken, I'm like "Oh that's a big piece of Protein right there!" lol HW:358 DOS:338 CW:275 SD:1/28/13
