  1. I am 12 1/2 weeks out and I am down 70 pounds, but I have trouble with food.
  2. I am having the same troubles. I went to the doc yesterday and my surgery date was June 12th, 2012. I was told to return to a clear liquid diet x2 weeks. If I am unable to eat I am getting yet another EDG & a feeding tube.
  3. I was told by my doc that if the diet pop was flat, it would be ok "occasionally" I have been afraid to try though.
  4. Unfortunately, any protein I eat/drink does not stay down so I am having trouble getting any protein.
  5. I am light head/dizzy everytime I bend over. I have been dehydrated sinc surgery, I get IV fluids every week and I cannot sem to get in all thefluids I need. I am having trouble eating as well, I was weighed today and I am down 60 pounds now, and my surgery date was 6-12-12. I havehad 1 EDG and had no strictures so its just me lol
  6. I am not workingvout at all, I have a bad back and theconly exercise I get is walking at work.
  7. I went back to work full time 10 days post- op, I was tired for the first 2 weeks, but it got better.
  8. Congrats! I had only back pain too, but my back had been fused twice so mine wasnt from gas. I wish you only the best on your new life
  9. So glad to hear they fixed you! I know the disapointment about being moved back on your diet, that happened to me too, but it is for the best, that is what I kept telling myself anyways lol again glad you are on the mend.
  10. Sorry to hear that Pazzo. I wish I could take some of your hunger for you, as I have the oposite effect, I am never hungry and dont eat but a bite or two a day. Your doctors office cant help by setting up a payment option so that you can at least get an appointment to be seen?
  11. How long ago did you have surgery? Sometimes your mind thinks your hungrey and your not. It gets better.
  12. I know that my doc office stated at that first meeting that if you lived farther than 90 miles you should plan to stay in a hotel a few days post-op, but not a month! I would call the closer office and make sure your insurance company will cover at the second office. I had to pay for my surgery because my insurance would not pay for mine, and I had to come up with $15000.00 + $2200.
  13. Hopefully they will get that bleed fix fast & infuse some blood, that should help a ton!
  14. WTG! I was just able to go and purchase new scrubs for work and I cannot remember the last time I was in clothes this size! I love it
  15. I have been struggling to eat and I am almost 7 weeks post-op. I have been told by everyone here that it does get better and I/you will eat again lol My only concern is the amount of weight I have lost. I am waiting for the day that protien doesnt cause me any nausea. I have been in the hospital several times for dehydration I know I am healed because I had an EDG and everything was healed. I am just waiting on a time I can drink somerthing and eat more than a bite without the nausea.
  16. Wow! I was given fluids after I was awake and didnt have a cath, or a drain. All must be the docs preferences.
  17. Sorry, hit the send button lol smells dpnt bother me, I know with 1 bite if I am gonna be sick. I truly hope this will pass, I am at my wits end.
  18. I am just frusterated, I have tried many different foods, waiting between bites, and I will know by taking 1 bite if I am going to have to take for nausea. The smell o
  19. Well that makes me feel better that I am not the only one who has had trouble like this! Thanks a chubby girl from wyoming
  20. Hey everyone! I was wondering if I am the only one having trouble eating, I am 8 weeks out and cannot keep any food down, I am constantly trying to eat, but everything, and I mean everything at the least makes me nauseated. I am taking Zofran as often a I can. At 4 weeks post-op, I had an EDG, and everything was great but my doc put me back on the soft diet phase, which I am still on, I vomit the "foam" whenever I eat any Protein. I ave lost over 50 pounds since surgery. I can eat ice chips without feeling nauseated or vomiting, but that is it. a chubby girl from wyoming
  21. Well when I started the process, my insurance company told both me & my doctors office that it was covered. A month ago, my doctors office was informed that it was an "excluded" procedure. I appealed, I stressed that I have a BMI of 45 (morbid obesity) & still was denied, I have had to pay the $25,300 with the help of family, credit cards, & loan from the bank. I could have saved some money by changing my surgery from the Roux-en-Y to the lap band and saved about $10,000 but me & my surgeon decided prior to being denied that I would not lose enough weight.
