Thank you . My daughters communion party was this weekend and there was good Italian food .

Surgery is 7 days away I've been on liquid diet since April 30th as of may 9th I was down 17 lbs. BUT I cheated a few times , not terribly bad but I did cheat. Should I be worried ? This next 7 days I'm gonna be super strict and exercise !!!!

Same here I have the band but I'm unsuccessful with it. We'll be fine . Let's keep in touch

The liquid diet is very challenging . Yesterday was my daughters first holy communion and we had a party with a lot of really good Italian food . I ate a very little .

Thanks Neen , mami and Vamp. Today was my daughters communion party and I'm not gonna lie I ate a little bit of food. Not even a plate but a little. I walked 5 miles tonight to make up for it!! I'm pumped up for surgery !!!

This is scaring the heck outta me! One of the reasons I'm doing bypass is because I can't handle that feeling of being stuck with my lapband.

What should I pack in my bag to take to the hospital?

Thank you all so very much. With my situation I do believe the benefits greatly outweigh the risks. I have to stop listening to what people have to say. I'm a diabetic I have complications from that . I was on dialysis for 2 years until I got my kidney transplant in July 2006 . I had the lapband surgery in June 2005 to lose weight for my transplant and I lost 120 lbs. but since then it's been a yoyo affect for me because of the amount of medications I take . All of my doctors are on board with me getting the bypass and I'm definitely doing it. I'll keep you all posted!

I have the same issue. I'm getting revision surgery on 5/21 and I'm worried about the same things.

Hey everyone , I'm set up for gastric bypass on 5/21 but I'm having second thoughts because of all the horror stories everyone tells me. All of my doctors are on board but everytime I tell someone I'm getting bypass they always know someone who got really sick or died from it. I need reassurance !!!! Please help!!
