  1. I'm trying to get into the routine of drinking an Edge drink every morning. They have 17 grams of protein. I know it's not enough But at least it's a start. I take biotin too, and all my vitamins. I will be 5 months post op on the 30th. Do you think this hairless will let up soon?
  2. I know I'm really bad about protein, but I do take biotin. M losing lots of hair but thankfully I have a ton. I'm just worried it will continue and itll start to get noticeable.
  3. I have been letting myself ave a little. It's weird his I have so many problems eating but the strangest things are ok all the time...like candy and popcorn. I know I have to be careful, but it's hard not to give in when 'goid' food is making you hurt and this doesn't.
  4. Whatever it was seems to have gone away, knock on wood. I'm thinking it was possibly severe constipation. I never get my water in
  5. Oh great. I hope that's not it
  6. What is a stricture?
  7. I feel the same. Lately I've been having trouble eating. Like the idea of picking something is scary. I have to say, I've discovered how much I love turnips! I know they aren't protein but they're so good! It's hard not o eat too much. They don't make you feel full at all. So far I've only gotten sick twice. Both times I made myself do it o make the pain stop. I didn't feel nauseous, I felt like a ball of acid sitting below my throat. The first time was something you'd expect, but the second time was something I'd had no problem with before.
  8. Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue. I'm going to be 8 weeks post op tomorrow. I keep getting these off and on sharp pains mostly in my left/front area, sometimes more towards the front middle. It's not constant but getting more frequent. It's pretty painful.
  9. He gets home in two months or so, so I really hope by then...I already can tell in my face. I wish so bad I could post pix! Can't figure it out with the iPad though lol
  10. Tomorrows my 6 week mark:). I'm excited cause I start soft food but also I love Thursday's cause it's my weigh day:)
  11. Thanks:). I'm hoping when he gets home I'll be impressive looking lol
  12. Wow! You all look amazing! So inspirational! Wish I could figure out pix lol
  13. What about like Soups with small pieces?
  14. That was my guideline for liquid. I don't think it is for puree for my doctor cause I'm pretty sure small curd cottage cheese is allowed.
  15. So how 'pureed' does it have to be? Like pudding or more like just small prices, like rice size?
  16. M so excited! This Thursday I get to start on puree! I also officially will be allowed to drive too (I've had to do it a couple times already). I'm very excited about it. What are some good things to have? And has anyone put regular food In a blender for puree?
  17. Ok...confession. I feel so guilty. Tonight I got a dab of chocolate icing from the fridge and ate it (or let it dissolve in my mouth - I'm still on liquids). I'm two weeks and two days post op.
  18. I'm on three weeks of liquids (post op) and then three weeks puree. I'm not doing any exercise til the six weeks is over. That way I'll be healed from surgery too. I would cool it on the exercise.
  19. Not the same thing, but where I have the blood thinner shots I'm a purple mess! I also pulled something (nurse said maybe stitches) giving my son a little swat. She didn't seem worried at all but I'm thinking, if the stitches aren't where they're supposed to be, are the things going to heal the way they're supposed to? It still hurts, but it's better today than yesterday. I should mention today is my two week post op mark. This week I only lost one pound but last week I lost ten. I lost ten before surgery so my total is 21 down.
