Yes I'm getting nervous, but I know this is the right thing, I think Im more nervous about the 2 week pre-op I have to do !!

So my offical date is August 1st, they can't move it up any sooner, I'm ok with it !!! I can't wait !!

Congrats, !!! I just got my Approval, and she is going to call me back to let me know if I get an earlier date, than my August 1st date.. Good luck..

Just think the best is yet to come, you will be healthier in the long run !! I'm sure it's hard, I'm getting nervous about doing my Pr-op, but we can all do it !! Keep it up and stay positive

Thank you, I agree we need to learn how to deal with all these situations . I'm still waiting on my insurance approval, should be any day now. I will have the surgery on the 1st and go away on the 15th. And I'm sure all will be good !!! Good luck to you also !!

Thank you so much for your imput, I feel the same way, It is very important for me to have this surgery, my step daughter thought I should wait, because it's vacation and you want to have fun !! I told her that my fun should be based on seeing my family and not the food I eat !! I know that I have already made up my mind and that I will have it done before, I was just worried about the traveling, so soon after. I am also going to San Diego ! I can not wait.. thanks again.

I have a question to anyone that has already had their surgery, my orginal date for surgery was 7/9, but it has been changed to 8/1.. this is my dilema, I am going on vacation to California on 8/15, my family lives there and we will be celebrating my parents 60th wedding annivesary. I am concerned because it will be so soon after and I will still be in the soft food stage. I want to have it before I go because I've been waiting so long. So my question is do I have it before vacation or wait till after ?

I was thinking the same thing, to stay hydrated you have to drink a lot, and I'm sure that will fill you up fast. I guess we will have to wait and see.

My BMI was boarder line, I had all the nessasary test done, so know I wait !! My doctor wants me to loose 15 pounds beffore surgery , so I stared the protein shakes for breakfast and then a light lunch and dinner , I'm down about 9 , but it's hard!!! I'm anxious about getting the surgery date also, I work in an office with 2 other women and they are going to want vacation time in the summer, I just hope I'm not out more than 2 weeks.

I started this in November 2011, I went to a seminar class ,the my first appt. with the doctor was in December 2011, my insurance has you see the doctor for 6 months before they will give the approval. I did not have to meet with my insurance , the doctors office will handle all that.

Hi everyone, Im still in the early stages of my journey, I have 2 more visits to my doctor before the paperwork is sent to my insurance . I'm hoping for a July date .. I hate this waiting !! I'm glad to have found this site it helps to see that I'm not alone in this.
