  1. Sugar free jello and Popsicles. Also broth
  2. I totally get what you all are saying. My surgery was May 1, I have lost 55 lbs. I can eat most things, but I try to select responsibly. I have always been a sweets eater and now I still eat a bite and I do mean a bite of cake at birthday parties. I scrape off the icing, and if I need a treat I eat sugar free ice cream. I'm retired and lazy and knew I had to exercise. I have a huge private pool and a beautiful treadmill, but I just couldn't make myself do anything. For me, the solution was to hire a personal trainer 3 times a week and meet him at the gym. If I know someone is counting on me, I'll do it. I always hate the thought of going, but I'm so proud of myself when I do. I hope this helps somewhat.
  3. Last week 232 This week 228.4 Finally lost a bit! Prayer really helps. Thank you, Lord! Total loss so far. 55 lbs. Surgery was May 1 Pre surgery weight 283.4
  4. I have to admit that I really don't care for water, so what I do is brew some decaf green tea with mint and keep that in the fridge. I find it works quite well.
  5. You also might want to try UNCLE SAM cereal. It also is high protein and high fiber.
  6. Thank you ladies! I will see of I can find them!
  7. Today's weight 232.8 Pre liquid diet. 283.4 One week post op. 260 Last weeks weight 232 I seem to be stuck! Thinking about going back on protein shake diet again for a few days. Any other ideas on how to get unstuck?
  8. Gosh, Robyn! So sorry to read about all of your problems. Feel better soon!
  9. Any other ideas on Protein. Bars? Something that doesn't taste like dirty socks, perhaps? I bought a Special K strawberry protein bar and after one bite, it went out the car window. I'm on the road a lot during the day and I need something I can munch on. Any and all suggestions welcomed!
  10. Kiwiladydee, You are so blessed to have that relationship with your sisters. I wish I had that, too.
  11. Thanks all! I need to clarify, however. Thirteen pounds of the 51 were after I started my Liquid pre- op protein diet. The other 38 have been since the surgery, and they were ok with that.
  12. I'm about 10 weeks out. After waiting for an hour and a half, I saw the PA, and not the surgeon. I've lost about 51 lbs, and they seemed ok with that. I guess I expect too much out of myself.
  13. IM going to my follow up appointment with my surgeon today and I'm scare senseless that he'll be mad that I haven't lost as much weight as I should, but I don't know what else to do. This is probably silly, but it is what it is. I'll let you know how iy goes.
  14. is it just me or has anyone else experienced this? I see someone that I haven't seen in awhile and they don't comment or seem to notice that I've lost 50+ pounds. Kind of hurtful. Anyone else have this?
  15. I'm so sorry to hear this. It will pass and what you do is just take it one minute at a time. I'm praying for you and your family. God Bless
  16. I understand what you're saying, Christie, but sometimes we just don't know what's bothering us. My point is that if you feel you need something by all means make it healthy! I always thought my car wouldn't run unless I had a double hamburger while driving, Lol, and that is a habit I have broken. It's pretty much all about behavior and habits.
  17. Hi Cassie. I'm the same way. I seem to be able to eat just about everything and can eat as much as a small Wendy's chili in no time. I just have to make a conscious effort to stop and to make wise choices. If I do eat too much it won't hit me until 20-30 minutes later. I hope that helps.
  18. I'm an emotional eater. Now, if I feel like I need to eat something I go for a Weight Watchers low fat cheese stick, or a hard boiled egg. I see a counselor to help with my issues, but sometimes you just have to eat. For me, this is a lifestyle change. I can't change my emotions, but I can manage what I do. Hope that helps.
  19. I was somewhat like that at first, but it does straighten out. My surgery was May 1.
  20. Pre Surgery. 283.4 Day of surgery. 260. May 1, 2012 Last week. 236.8 This week. 232.4 51.4 lbs lost since April 17, 2012. Thank you Lord for this victory.
  21. I'll pray for you, too.
  22. I can not believe how great everyone looks! KUDOS!!!
