  1. Does anyone know how to stop getting notifications via email every time someone posts? The notifications are junking up my email inbox!
  2. There is senna in Smooth Move... That's part of my original post because I heard senna can cause cramping... I just want to try something natural
  3. Has anyone used Smooth Move Tea for constipation? It was recommended to me but then I was warned about cramps that senna can cause... I'm curious to see what contrasting opinions I get... I like the idea of using something more natural rather than my current Miralax/Colace cocktail...
  4. Did you get cramps from the tea? I don't need those... LOL!
  5. I was finally able to go a little today... I will try the Smooth Move tea tonight... I can't do coffee because it aggravates my hypoglycemia... Hope the tea works!
  6. Where can you get it? Regular grocery store? Thank you!
  7. My doc told me to take 100mg of Colace twice a day and Miralax twice a day...that should get things moving (is what he said)... I just hate taking laxatives because sometimes it goes the other way... Right now I'd rather have loose stools... We shall see what happens...
  8. So I've been constipated for what is going on day 3... I've taken Colace for 2 days and added Miralax today... Still nothing! Luckily I've been able to pass gas thanks to GasX... What is everyone else out there doing about constipation? I've already upped my liquid intake and haven't taken any narcotic pain meds... I realize this was bound to happen but would like it to get moving again... Hope everyone is doing well out there!
  9. My doctor told me I could take GasX and it really has helped a good deal...
  10. I was sleeved on Sept 11th in Camden County... I have had amazing care... I had a side effect from the operation and had to come home with a catheter... It came out 3 days after I came home... Right now I'm constipated (TMI, sorry) and trying to get relief... The second day I was home I ha HORRIBLE gas cramps... My doc told me to take GasX, drink more fluids and walk and it had worked wonders... Now I'm taking both Colace and Miralax in the hopes that it will relieve to constipation (under doctor's) orders.. I was a little discouraged a my first weigh in because I didn't lose as much as I wanted... My doc reassured me that it would come off.. My biggest piece of advice is try not to compare your weight loss to any other sleeve patient (as far as the numbers go)... Best of luck to you!
  11. I would urge you to contact your doctor... I am 11 days out myself! I didn't go in the hospital at all, came home and had diarrhea for 6 days and have been constipated now for the last 3... If you take Imodium it may constipate you... Be careful!
  12. I'm not big on the sugary sweet protein shakes which is why I was glad I found the chicken soup flavor... Is the one from BJs sweet?
  13. My surgery was 9/11.. I had horrible gas pains 4 days after surgery... I called my doc and he told me to take GasX and that helped a good deal.. Now I take it every time I go the "bathroom". Also from the day of surgery until about 4 or 5 days after I couldn't go... Pain meds, anesthesia, etc prevent you from a BM for a few days post surgery
  14. So I know this may be TMI but I can't be the only person dealing with this issue... When I first got home I had diarrhea which I know is normal after surgery... Now, for the passed 2 days I am constipated.. I took 1 colace last night and 3 today... I know it says it takes 12-72 hours to work... I am getting 64 ounces of water and walking every day.. I am on full liquids right now... Should I be alarmed or is this pretty normal? Any words of wisdom would be great! Thanks y'all!
  15. I went to Unjury.com because I hate all of those sweet shakes... They have an unflavored protein powder you can add to juice and also a chicken soup flavored... I enjoy both of them... You can't heat the liquid over 140 degrees but I find it hot enough...
