  1. I am so glad you wrote this - I looked at those the other day and wondered how they were. I liked the price! Thanks for sharing! Going shopping soon!
  2. Congrats! Thanks for sharing - I'm a pre-sleever and love to see progress reports. Wishing you continued success!
  3. Did you take your measurements pre-op? Sometimes you won't see the scale move, but you'll see a difference in your clothes, so you're losing inches. Just a thought. Any pre-sleevers out there that read this - I have read many many posts about the scale not moving but their clothes fit better. Many wish they had taken their measurements prior to surgery so they can monitor that as well as the scale.
  4. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing! Wishing you continued success in your journey.
  5. I'm heading to Vegas next month (ugh!) for Dr. Umbach. Traveling from Montana.

  11. I want to punch the Beibs, too. I'm filled with hate today.
  12. While we're on rants and raves...I want to rant about Mylie Cyrus and why she always, in every picture, has her tongue hanging out of her mouth. OMG - it bugs me to no end. I want to punch her, I seriously want to punch her.
  13. Just turned 44 last month. 44 is going to be my breakout year...The year of McButterpants!!!!
  14. Tagging along for the ride...
  15. Chin up, Buttercup. You've identified a problem - you're working on accountability. I admire you for putting your struggle out there. Keep working hard and love yourself. How would you treat a good friend that did the same thing - you would probably offer words of encouragement, not beat them up. Treat yourself that same way. Sending positive vibes and ((hugs)) your way today.
  16. Hi, April. I'm still trying to figure it out. It does scare the hell out of me. Like I said this weekend was weird with the thoughts that entered my mind. I did learn a lot when I went thru the mandatory pro-op videos. It talks a lot about commitment and, more importantly, that EFFORT word. Changing the relationship with food is important (no more using it as a crutch - tackling the deeper issues about why we eat and why we eat the foods we do). I am really working on sitting down with my meal and focusing on chewing and really savoring the flavor of the food. I'm trying to change my mindset - food is fuel. And finally, I thought this was an awesome quote from the on-line course: "If you always do what you always did...you will always get what you always got" So in summary - I'm working on my brain.
  17. Sending you positive vibes on this special day. Good luck!!!
  18. Derby, I completely understand. This weekend was weird for me. Thoughts failure crept into my mind this weekend - fleeting thoughts and a little self doubt. It was weird. This is the first time that has happened. Maybe it's because I took the on-line courses my Doc requires and there is a lot of "effort" talk. "You can't promise you'll do better watching your intake, it is going to take EFFORT." They also talked about mourning food. I totally get that. That's why I'm going thru that process now. I might pick a restaurant that has an entree that I probably won't eat again...ever (Pasta bowls, burritos, etc). I think that's my natural process - like a food funeral. I wish you luck. You know we're hear for you. Keep us updated on what's going on.
  19. Wow - what a difference! You look fantastic. And you look happy. Congrats and I wish you continued success. Thanks for sharing.
  20. I will preface this by saying I'm a pre-opper... I have the FitBit Flex and have had the FitBit one. I love the flex - it's a great motivator and I love the fact you can track your food. The Flex connects w/ bluetooth to your phone so you can get live feedback. I helps me personally - I just wish it came with a shock collar...it would zap you if you're not active enough or if you reach for a carb.
  21. Haven't been sleeved yet, but I have decided on Dr. Thomas Umbach in Las Vegas (Blossom Bariatrics). Self pay is $11K.
  22. Hang in there! You have lots of support here, so vent away! Congrats on making the decision to go down this path.
