  1. I also had mine on 9/16. I started eating regular food this week. I've been doing great! Lost 28 pounds too. Incisions have also healed up nicely. Only issue so far is when I'm hot and get really thirsty I go to chug my water and am quickly reminded not to do that!! I go back to work on Monday. I could of went back probably 2 weeks ago but glad I waited until I started solid foods so I can better plan my lunches.
  2. My short term disability approved me for 4 weeks!! I'm taking the whole time since its paid and that a way I have plenty of time to get my new food plan under control. I wasn't able to walk a whole bunch without my larger incision starting to hurt after a while until very end of week two.
  3. How do I add a profile picture?
  4. Ok good. I hope u like the new lead brandi....I do!
  5. That's sound like a good idea. I'll have to try it!!

  7. Me too!!! And my appointment is tomorrow also. Are u having any trouble eating ot drinking? I'm not at all. I can drink 2 cups of broth....with a spoon so I feel like I'm eating....at a time. I'm supposed to move to thicker stuff after the appointment but I'm going to see if they will let me incorporate some soft foods too. Fingers crossed....but probably not!
  8. I got some at gnc on sale the other day buy onr get one free...so it was like 2 something a bottle. So far I can only stand blue rasberry
  9. Well I'm glad ur feeling a little better. I would say all that crap coming up is normal. I can almost guarantee u didn't bring home that breathing thing and practice taking deep breaths everyday!!! we use our stomach muscles for so much. Because of the soarness from surgery u don't breath in deep like we normally do....or cough. All that crap builds up in ur lungs... that's how u get pneumonia!!! Its a good thing that its coming up!!! I go back to work Oct 14th. U still going back on Monday? We both gonna be some hot skinny b****'s at our branch together! !!
  10. Omg I can totally relate to them not finding ur veins!!!! You should see my arms. ....all black and blue. They even tried to get blood from my wrist....that kinda freaked me out a little.
  11. Hey girl its melissa!!! My 1 week follow up is Tuesday too. Maybe we will run into each other up there.
  12. I was sleeved on sept 16th. I will say I feel truly blessed with how everything has turned out for me compared to others. I for the most part feel completely back to normal. Only thing that sucks post op is watching my family eat and having to stick to this liquid diet!!! Its all in my mind though because I don't actually feel hungry. And protein shakes make me wanna barf now so I'm trying the isopure flavored drinks and they aren't all that great either. Overall I'm super excited and ready for this journey and am glad I went thru with it!!! I would do it all over again!
