Oh I have been under a few times and never had that, I have never heard of it until now. That is scary. Had you never been under before or was this just the first time it happened? SCARY, sorry to hear that hopefully it will be worth it and not to many nightmares from here on out!

Just curious how people are doing with their SCARS, I am getting the regular 5-6 incisions and am scared of the SCARS. Just need a little reassurance that its not that bad!? I already bought coco-butter and bio-oil and am looking into Scar away silicone patches. Any other advice? I really am not looking forward to the scars!!! I relly don't want them holding me back from a possible bikini:)How long until fully faded?

I have the same concern I think I have been trying to avoid the point. I only have 3 weeks to surgery and am worried. I think I'll try to quit when I start my Pre op diet.. I still love coffee, I was a Barista for 5 years, I only drink one tumbler a day but am scared to stop! Wish you well at least your smart enough to start early. I'm sure most of it maybe mental!

Oh no did the Dr's say that was still okay? I almost would think it would help right?? Well best of luck to you please let me know how it goes for you as I will be there about 10 days after you And I am going alone. GOOD LUCK! MUMTAZ is also similar to us, not as many people who get it at our weight interested to see how the weight loss goes. I hope quickly. I usually give up on diet and exercise because its sooo slow I hope I can stick to this and make the life style changes and get to my goal weight

I'm with you sasechick. 5ft 3 in 190 and want to be around 130, I really hope I don't loose that SLOW! I am scheduled with Valenzuela on Oct 22! Hope I can at least drop 20-30 before XMAS!

you may want to look at the slim fast, ensure ect they may have too much sugar and such. I think just protein powder with water maybe better (be sure to read the contents). And like the other post jello and popsicles.

Yeah I am also looking into some scar creams and such, I know there is medermia but looking for something a little more advanced... Plus maybe some tightening stuff. IDK again starting to think I should have stuck to single like I was originally going to.

Well I already have my date for a regular sleeve but an almost kicking myself for not spending the extra money on single incision. I'm curious peoples thoughts and experiences with the SCARS. I'm still somewhat young and only need to loose like 60 lbs so am still hoping one day to wear a bikini (possibly) and other nice clothes and don't want to feel like the scars are going to stop me. How are your scars now? Both single incision vs regular? I thought I was comfortable enough to think the scars will be almost non visible but now I am worried. Also has anyone heard that single incision is more risky? I heard even some Dr's in Mexico don't do it because of the risk that's what made me just say screw it to begin with (plus the money of course). Let me know what you think guys! Thanks!!

I was curious about the Protein do you just mix it with Water? I guess I'm not sure if you can have shakes on the "clear diet" (first 2 wks?) and need clarification. I'm going to Mexico so don't have a surgeon per say to ask. I guess when I think clear liquid I think you cant have the protein... With that said hang in there I'm sure it will get better and I'm sure you made the right choice! Feel good soon!

For you going to Mexico and using Dr. Diez are you all getting single incision... I went with the regular sleeve because of cost (hopefully the scars are not too bad), I'm kind of wishing I would have just gone with Dr Diez

U can use credit card or find a medical fiancé but some won't do it out of Mexico...

I'm self pay in Mexico they range from 5000-8000 u can't get approved without high BMI and additional health issues. I didn't even try.
