  1. Please try to seek help. The counselor at your college can help point you in the right direction. Do not try to go this alone. I have suffered with depression most of my life. If you attend church your pastor or youth pastor can be a great help. I am blessed to have insurance to help with costs. There are state and federal ran programs that are income based and you should be able to get help through them. I know in my area there are a couple of agencies and they also help with getting you to their clinic. I will be keeping you in my prayers.
  2. I am with you on the shakes. The only ones I can handle are the Nectar. The others make me sick and breakout with a rash on my face and neck. I know my protein is still an issue. I get in 60 to 70 grams, but doctor wants it at 90 grams. Cannot seem to make it there.
  3. Thank you. You are doing fantastic! Shel
  4. I was sleeved Oct 30 and I am down 61 pounds. At three weeks I hit a stall that lasted 3 weeks. I upped my Water and Protein. That seemed to break the stall for about two weeks. Now the last week the scale has barely moved.
  5. Does your doctor test for nicotine? If so the nicotine will show. I would stop 5 to 10 days before test. Also, you could go to a zero nicotine e-liquid until after you are tested.
  6. Your story truly shows the power of prayer. I waited and prayed for two years about this surgery. I wanted the sleeve but my insurance did not cover it at the time. Late January last year I became very ill and was in the hospital for several days. I was told that I have copd on top of high blood pressure, no thyroids, sleep apnea, and diabetes. I was told I had to get the weight off. After several months of steroid shots I continued to gain. In July I really started praying that god make a way for this surgery. I called and got the process started in August. I found that my insurance now covered the sleeve and my out of pocket went from 2500.00 to 375.00. So God had not only answered the prayer for surgery, but answered the financial part too. Due to being in the hospital early in the year I had the surgery and only spent around 200.00. I no longer have the high blood pressure, diabetes, or sleep apnea. I am now down over 60 pounds and had surgery Oct. 30. We serve a great god.
  7. My husband is the same way LL. My husband is happy as long as he gets to grope my boobs or bum no matter the size of 'em.
  8. My program says no bread for 12 to 18 months. Rice and pasta in small amounts and over cooked at 3 months.
  9. I do good at work. I keep a bottle of Water on my desk all day. At home is where I get busy and forget to drink.
  10. I'm 8 weeks out and was the same way. As the swelling goes down in your stomach you will be able to get more in. It just takes time.
  11. Since this will be my first challenge I am not sure what to set a goal weight at. I lost over 30 lbs the first three weeks and then went into a three week stall. In the last two weeks since I have started losing again I have lost 13 lbs. Anyone have any idea of what kind of goal I should set? Very excited to do the challenge.
  12. count me in. This will be my first challenge.
  13. I am also in the stall. I am six weeks out and have not lost anything in three weeks. I did loose almost 40 pounds the first three weeks. I am ready for it to start coming off again.
  14. I also had surgery on Oct. 30 and having a very hard time, I cannot get in all the liquids. Feeling very weak and tired, I am down almost 20 pounds since surgery. I did wake up this morning feeling a lot better. Hoping I can get in the liquids today.
  15. My nut had told me to get meat tenderizer and mix it wit water. after drinking that it should help the meat go down. Sorry I'm not sure on how much to use. I think it was a teaspoon and couple ounces of water.
  16. I also have the olive toned skin. It took about two years for the scares from gall bladder surgery to get light and not very noticeable.
  17. I had surgery on Oct 30 and I also feel like I am starving. I do believe it is head hunger. It makes it very hard.
  18. I have been having a tough time with my two week pre-op diet. Started it on Wednesday. 500 Calories pre day of shakes and water. Not sure if I am going to be able to keep this up.
