  1. i wish I'd gotten my Rx filled before surgery so I wouldn't have to wait for them a day afterward. Also, I am glad I colored my new growth before I went in. It made me feel better about myself
  2. I know Sherry, it was funny in retrospect. I so should've at least said "avoid the spicy ones" or something!!! I'm glad you're doing so great, we are gonna be totally different people a year from now. Mentally and physically. Stronger in both ways I'm excited for that change.
  3. Hang in there sweety. I know how that feels and I kept thinking "what have I done". I know you are probably tired of hearing this, but it really does get better each day. The first 3 days were some if the worst I'd ever experienced and it was really hard for me to remember why I was going through everything that the surgery put me through in the hospital. Stay strong and things will get better.
  4. From what I've read on here, a large majority of sleevers suffer from both.
  5. Are you taking your PPI acid reducer? I can't stress how important it is Bc acid mimics hunger.
  6. Ohhhh. I misunderstood ya. I have to have help getting it on though. Thank goodness for Lindsay and Jolie. They've been a huge help. Jolie even changes my bandage over where my drain was pulled Bc I have to keep it covered for 5 days. They said it's a high risk of infection otherwise.
  7. If it were my daughter, I'd take her to Dr. Alvarez. Look him up on YouTube. He has performed surgeries on younger persons and is very skilled. If I'd exhausted all options, as you have, I'd have no qualms about my daughter getting VSG. Good luck, and give your daughter a big (((hug))) from me. April
  8. I woke up with it on and if I have it off I feel like my insides are gonna burst out of my incisions or that they are gonna pop open. I'm the opposite of SJ, I prefer to wear mine at night Bc I'm a side sleeper and without it I'm in a ton of pain rolling from side to side or getting out of bed. Also if you laugh or cough it keeps you from feeling like you're ripping your incisions and tummy open.
  9. Girl, I'd try it. If nothing else you'll get rid of a ton of gas. Today my sis invited me to lunch (I just had a lemon water) at Rib Crib and all at once I had to go potty. Right then!!!! Of course there was someone in the stupid restroom so, just as I started to use the men's room instead of crapping in the hall, a kid comes out. I run in there n barely make it in time. But I had so much gas it was crazy. And loud. It was so loud I was feeling sorry for the table of people not far from the bathroom door. When I was finished up inside the restroom and walked past that table they all stated at my in disbelief. Yeah... I think I ruined their lunch. But I felt better n that's really all that counts. Lol
  10. It's this stretchy thing that is wrapped around your tummy and velcros shut. It holds you in. Lol
  11. I agree!!! Instead of taking 15 damn minutes to wipe it takes 10 seconds!!!! Lol On another note, my belly is so distended. I can neither suck it in nor pooch it out. It's just there all swollen. When I take my abdominal binder off I feel like my guts are gonna spill on the floor through my 4 incision sites. Lol I'm supposed to wear it til my 2 week follow up but I only wear it at night Bc it kills me during the day.
  12. I had mine Tuesday the 18th and the full feeling was this tightening at the top of my tummy. In between my boobs. It was painful n I thought the liquids were gonna reappear.
  13. I know!!! I'm not feeling like I'm dying every time I lower or raise myself off the toilet, which I was.
  14. Ditto. Getting my drain out was like a total release of pressure. Plus a nagging pain under my rib cage disappeared immediately.
  15. I feel the exact same. I was just telling my daughter that yesterday was easier. Maybe it was still too numb yesterday and we never felt the "full" signal.
  16. I'd take miralax. You do not wanna get impacted and have to go to the hospital for that
  17. Diarrhea. Liquid in and liquid out. But it's so loud. Totally embarrassing. Lol but I feel better Bc of losing the gas. Whew
  18. Now that the dam has broken I can't stop pooping. With TONS of gas.
  19. I can't drink it. Neither can many of my sleeved friends who are out over a yr. put lemon in it or a drop of Mio. I halved mine with vitamin water zero.
  20. Speaking of liquid form.... I almost didn't make it to the bathroom in time. I have such pain in my incisions at night that Tylenol doesn't cut it but at least I feel human again during the day. Glad you're better. (((Hugs)))
  21. My gas pains were excruciating. But now they are almost all gone. Hang in there. I bet when u get on a ppi you'll find that you have little hunger
  22. Hang in there buddy, I have a feeling you're gonna have a volcano eruption very soon.
  23. Thanks, today was a new day and I felt better. I'm thrilled that we get this chance to restart. Yesterday I went to the bathroom like 4 times and my intestinal gas was then gone. The gas in my body cavity gets me every now n then but for the most part it's dissipated. I'm ready to rock this thing!
  24. Heck no. I can't afford that. You're such a lucky ducky to have such an amazing dad. I'm glad you're doing well. I can't wait til we are a few months down the road just rockin n rollin along
