  1. Yes I just posted about this a couple days ago. I was calling it a side ache but yeah sounds like what I'm experiencing. But I think I've narrowed it down to when I drink a large amount of water at a time (like 16 oz bottle) does yours happen at certain times too?
  2. Have you been over to the self pay- Mexico forum on this site?! Lots of great information and inspiration there. Do you and your mom have pAssports?!
  3. Also, are you taking vitamins to keep up with your energy? My doc recommended sublingual B-12 which melts under your toungue (trader joes has them) I take two a day and my energy is good. Plus I do a packet of crystal light energy a day in my protein shake or in a bottle of water.
  4. Oh I see...u start next wed. Oh and Walmart carries swansons clear flavored broths now. Like tortilla soup and hot n sour and ginger chicken.
  5. Ok so most doctors recommend 60-90 grams of protein. Your shake had better have at least 30 gr. and you'll be eating alot of yogurt (dannon lite n fit Greek yogurt /x the protein) or you could do one ISOPURE clear liquid protein -40 grams of pro per bottle. It's filling satisfying and you'd have your recommended protein to keep u healthy strong and within your doctors guidelines. U wouldn't even have to do much yogurt if any, if u drink an ISOPURE. Tastes kinda like Gatorade. Available at GNC or online at ISOPURE or GNC. I personally would limit the fruit juice, the calories add up fast unless u do V8. Splash lite which is 1/2 the cals of reg juice. When do u start your pre op diet? I'm halfway thru mine.
  6. Well first of all, you are not alone. I think most of us were pretty scared, uncertain about surviving the pre op diet. If you start cutting out sugar and carbs now... It will be much easier for your body to adjust and detox. It's really not that bad tho. Something happens to our body where it just adjusts to the smaller food intake. I work a pretty demanding job, long hours etc and I'm doing fine for all six days so far. You will too! Congrats on your commitment to going forward with the surgery. Dr illan has alot of happy sleeve patients! I'm going to Mexico in one week. So your diet that was designed by satan only allows CLEAR liquids? Plus a shake and yogurt? Or full liquids?
  7. Survived day 6. In fact I'm so busy I hardley have time to think about eating but I really didnt have alot of energy today. To the poster above me with the cute blue fish Icon... I dunno about adding peanut butter. Did ur doc say that was ok??? I can of eat that on mine. If u want to flavor your shakes u can add crystal light. Like strawberry to the strawberry shake is good. Peach mango energy crystal light to the vanilla is delicious!! Also those sugar free flavored syrups they sell. I forget the name... Starts with a T. I can have lean fish (1 small Pc per day) so I have been poaching it in seafood stock and it tastes like lobster.
  8. Oh that's a good idea. I'm only doing protein shakes so maybe it's just all that protein. I can try the strips. Thnx lipstick lady :-)

  10. Is that the liver shrinking??? Ewww. Anyone else experience side aches pre op?
  11. Congrats Kayla! Welcome to the lighter side. Keep us posted! Woo hoo!!
  12. Yeah, lets try to avoid the grocery store during the pre op diet. That's all bad. Yes it does get easier, I'm on day 5, feeling great. Not hungry. Nerves are a little fried but other than that dieters beeotchiness I'm fine. I am definetley avoiding looking at the food signs today. It's the Devil testing me! Lol
  13. You look forward to getting out of bed in the morning just so you can eat a calcium chew, and let a cherry biotin tablet melt in your mouth. Hey the multi vitamin is even becoming a treat now (at least it's something to chew) lol
  14. One thing I know for sure is that YOU have to want this. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS FOR YOU! Someone else nagging on you probably isn't going to be the best form of motivation. I would look deep inside and ask myself ....what are the reasons that I want to lose weight? What are the benifits for me and my loved ones? What am I willing to do to make this happen? And how should I tell him to stop harping on me, that it's really melt helping things. Make the commitment and don't look back. This is a big descision. But think of the alternative.... Staying stuck in that unhealthy body. Do what works. This surgery works, if you work it. Best wishes. And u are NOT ALONE. We're all here together!
  15. I had heard about the headaches and that they're be from carb/ vaccine and or sugar withdrawal, so I slowly tapered off that a week beforehand. Most say after the 5th day you feel great. Turkey wrap sounds good. Today is day 5 for me. 10 days Til surgery.
  16. 4 days down. 10 to go. Crystal light is a nice treat that breaks the water boredom.
  17. Congrats! That's quite an accomplishment! Keep up the good work!
  18. Oops. Lol, I'm sure u can have more than 15 seeds! That's alot less than the nuts themselves. That's funny. Ask ur doc !
  19. Ok i just googled it. 1/2 cup Sunflower seeds and peanuts both have 8 grams Almonds have 7 The rest are less

  21. That's a good question, I know that RAW almonds are super healthy. They're all so delicious and high in protein.
  22. Amazing! Same surgery... Polor opposite protocol. Best wishes and enjoy your 15 nuts :-)
  23. Oh I wonder if it's just the Mexico patients that get post op antibiotics???
  24. Haha. Hopefully... I can edit my name post op... LESS of the Italian curves Wishing you well and sending you possitive energy!
