  4. I know NOTHING about any of this, I am only one week post-op. But in one of the forums on this site, there people discussing severe upper chest/shoulder pain and said it was gas pain. Several of the folks commented that they thought they were having a heart attack. One woman's suggestion was a heating pad, (actually several folks suggested that), and peppermint tea. I have no idea if this helps, but may it won't hurt? best of luck!
  5. Thank GOODNESS you gals posted. I am almost a week post-op and have been wondering many of these things. Thank you for sharing!

  8. Hi! A psych eval typically includes a brief history of your life, current concerns, obstacles, mental health diagnosis (if any). It is perfectly fine to be honest with the evaluator, most of us have "something" to deal with and depression is common. I think mostly they are looking for mental illness things that will not allow you to be successful with a surgery. (Or at least that is what I was told by a colleague.) It isn't a huge deal, don't stress over it. You will be just FINE!!!
  9. Also new to the site and the surgery, 8-29-13. Would love to connect to support.
