  1. Thanks for that information. I'm hoping I miss the insomnia because one thing I couldn't live without is constant coffee throughout the day and night. Menopause is something I Guess I will bring up at my 3 year appointment with my surgeon. What I can expect and what I can do to minimise any weight gain. Better to be prepared I think. That's one think I can add to my list of things I am great full to the sleeve for I am now so Organised and always planning ahead. So different from my previous lifestyle.
  2. I was sleeved in Oct 13 and I'm now at Goal weight and have been for 2 yrs. I'm about to get plastics next month Body Lift, Breast reduction/lift and arm lift. I also turned 50 this year but no menopausal symptoms yet. This has made me stop and think what sort of havoc it will cause me when it hits. So anyone who is experiencing this I would love to hear what your going through and what you are trying or have tried.

  10. So I'm off to Bangkok on Wednesday to see 2 surgeons that I'm interested in for my plastics. Body Lift, Arm Lift and Breast reduction with lift. The 2 Drs I'm seeing are Dr Chartchai at Samitivej Sukhamvit Hospital and Dr Komwit at Bumrungrad International Hospital. Very nervous but I've done all my research and I have all of my information and questions so it's just a matter of deciding which one I think I will be the most comfortable with and the one that will be able to give me the results I'm looking for. Then pay the deposit and book it in for early August. I Guess this is when it all starts to become real. October will be my 3yr sleeve anniversary so I'll really have something to Celebrate this year. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  12. There is definitely a very active community here and everyone I've been meeting up with is big into staying active. A lot of hikers and cyclists especially. I just think most of them are active by a matter of course and not training for anything specific, so they are used to a more flexible schedule. Whereas, with my marathon training, I have to be more strict than most of them are used to seeing. I'm making it work though. I've actually been really successful at meeting new people and staying active this last little stretch. I have plans every single night this week! Got home from a visit to a friend in DC on Sunday and ended up doig dinner and a movie with a couple of people. Last night I had a stay-in movie date with someone. Tonight I have my Hill Runs Meetup (we run up an down a ridiculous hill for an hour because we hate ourselves, apparently) THEN a movie with a coworker. Tomorrow I have a Game Night Meetup at an ale house. Thursday I'm meeting a different coworker after work to go hiking. And Friday night I'm doing a Pub Crawl! You sound like your doing everything right. Don't stress about what may or may not happen enjoy this time. Good Luck Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  13. I have a seroma that requires draining. You can cause more scarring. Pull a stitch. Get an infection. Wear your compression garment all the time unless showering. I recommend going to walgreens or Walmart and getting a big bottle of hibiclens. It's about $20. Wash your body for a few days before surgery and for weeks afterward. Keeps your risk of infection low. Supplement your intake with Protein powder. I added unflavored to my broth, soups and yogurt. Increasing your protein facilitates healing. I also took arnica Montana for swelling. Take your pain meds. That's great advice thank you Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  14. What issues do I need to be aware of if I over do things. Definitely not planning to but always good to know what can happen. I'm having 2 surgery's 3 weeks apart. Still not confirmed which will be first Body Lift or the breast red / lift and the Arm lift. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  18. Thanks, the plan is for the 1st surgery the 1st week of August then 3 weeks latter the 2nd surgery. I'm going to Bangkok so getting it all done while I'm there. I keep going back and forward with my decision as to which I'll do 1st. The Doctor will discuss it with me in 2 weeks time. So I'm trying to get as much information as possible before then.We also agreed that if I have any setbacks in the 3 weeks then the 2nd surgery will be reschedule the 2nd. I would be devastated if I had to wait and go back for the body lift. I'll let you know what we decide Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  23. I'm less than 3 months out from PS and plan on having Breast Reduction/Lift, Arm Lift and a Body Lift. Plan at the moment is Body Lift first then the others in a second procedure. Now I'm starting to think should I do it the other way around with the Body Lift last because the Arms will be the only part on show so I should give them the most time to heal in regards to scars. My question is will the Body Lift surgery pull my breast down ? I've had saggy boobs for to Long the last thing I want is to have them fixed and looking great, then wake up after the Body lift to find them too Low again. ( I'm not getting any implants ). I have an appointment with the PS at the end of the month and will talk to him but I would be interested in what you think or have experienced. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
