I will be having my surgery at UCSD on December 17th. Any advise????

I will be having mine at UCSD as well, any advice for me? I am scheduled 12/17/13 and Dr. Horgan is my surgeon. How are you doing on your journey?

Caligirl, I start my 4 week pre-op liquid diet on Tuesday.. Please keep me posted on how you are doing...

I started this whole process in August, and on November 8th received my approval.. I had done some of the test already, and have 1 more to complete. My surgery date is 12/17/13.

December 17th....

I am scheduled for 12/17/18. I have my barium swallow tomorrow, Manometry on the 25th, Anesthesia Eval on the 11th of December and i am ready to go... It has been a long journey but i am glad i have stuck with it... Good luck to everybody!!

Hi Caligirl3 - I am also in So Cal and just received my date - my surgery will be 12/17/13. I am super excited.

As of today, we were just switched to Anthem Blue Cross of CA PPO, so I now have to start all over with the approval process (been working this since the middle of September). What are the requirements for blue cross?
