  7. Iwas sleeved on May 28, 2013 by Doctor Fass in Austin Texas. I lost 28 lbs on my pre-op diet. To date including my pre-op loss I have lost 120 lbs. I have been very blessed with the way that I handled the surgery. I never had any major pain. I was on liquids for about 3 weeks and made a smooth transition to semi-solids and solids. It has now been just over 4 months from my surgery and I am starting to lose a little hair. Words cannot express the changes that I already have in my like. I weighed just under 400 lbs when I had the surgery. Just walking from my home to my vehicle took my breath away. I can now bend over to tie my shoes. I walk around the nieborhood without pain in my knees and feet. My only regret is that I did not do the surgery sooner. If you are reading this post because you are thinking about doing it, my advice is to do your homework, make sure it is for you. If it is, make your mind up to be totally dedicatd to what your doctor tells you to do. This is a life time commentment not just another fad diet. I will never allow myself to be fat again. I want to thank all of you who have shared your great moments and the difficult moments. They have helped me so much. God bless all of you. bdmadsen

  10. You are all doing so great!!! I was sleeved on May 28th. Lost 28 lbs on pre-op diet. I have lost 33 lbs since surgery. A grand total of 61 lbs in five and a half weeks. This is truly the best thing that I have done next to marrying my wife.
  11. That is fantasic!!!! This is also my 4th week, I agree it is the best thing that I have ever done. I am already off of all my meds, high blood pressure and anti inflammitory. My pre-op weight 398 lbs, surgery weight 370 lbs, and weight yesterday 337 lbs. If anyone is reading this and you are thinking about doing this, it is so worth it. I sleep through the night. I used to get up 3 or 4 times a night. My knees feel better. Still amazed at how small of an amount of food fills me up. I never get hungry. I have to thank my Doctor from Austin TX Dr Fass. Had a little pain in the hospital but was off the pain meds after the second day at home.
  12. That should have read, I started burping up beef broth.
  13. I have been sipping beef broth, jello, crystal light during the day. Started to burn up broth that I drank at noon. Also have heartburn. Can I take my anti-acid pill?
  14. My surgery is tomorrow and I have been on an Akins type pre-op diet. I have lost 25 pounds in the last two weeks. During that time I have several muscle craps in my stomach that have been very painful. Does anyone know what could be causing them. I have been drinkng my Water and other liquids. Really excited for my surgery. Just hoping that the muscle craps do not continue after surgery.

  18. I started my Pre-Surgery Diet today. Surgery date is May 28th. I am really looking forward to taking my health and life into a new direction. Best of luck to all of you May sleevers.
  19. I have noticed that every doctor has their own type of pre diet. I have read some posts where the person was on a liquid diet. My doctor has me on a form of the Akins Diet. I can eat meats and vegetables but to stay away from deep fried meats. I can only have 30 mg of Carbs a day. Has anyone else been on this type of pre-surgery diet and if so how much did you lose. I started my diet today and my surgery date is May 28th. I am really excited to get started.
