That may be gross but I'm really glad you shared it...I've been wondering why we're told not to eat corn. No corn for me!!!

Since I started my 2 week liquid diet that has now turned into a 3 week liquid diet I have definitely noticed how beautiful food is in the pizza and hamburger commercials...I don't remember paying that much attention to them before! I have now started telling myself that pizza, burgers, fries, etc. are some of the reasons that I am now 3 1/2 days away from my surgery!

When I get those feelings I kick back with a nice hot cup of chicken broth with a little garlic powder and pepper in it and binga banga...all is well in my world, NOT!!! but it does make the hunger feelings go away!!! I know this liquid diet is going to be sooo worth it, especially this time next year when hopefully I will be looking at a new me!!! Hangry is a good new word for these feelings though!

All liquids for 2 or 3 weeks ain't easy!!! Maybe that's why we have to be on them for soooo long!

If you have been to your doctor over the past 2 years your weight should be listed on your chart. That was all of the documentation I needed...hope that helps! I have BCBS Fep Basic of Missouri. Susan

Come onnnn September 11th!!! 5 more days to go on my 3 week full liquid diet...My husband nuked frozen burritos for his dinner tonight (poor guy!) and I can honestly say that frozen burritos have NEVER smelled soooo good to me!!! :D

Sooooo ready for the 11th to get here...

My husband has been through every step of the way with me since this past February when my journey to have gastric sleeve surgery began. I chose not to tell anyone but him and one other person about this surgery because it is very personal to me. He has had to listen to me complain about my weight and sometimes even try to blame him for helping me gain all of this weight because he is such a good cook! He must really love me to keep putting up with all of the ups and downs I have gone through to get where I am, and THAT is 12 days from my new surgery day! He has now decided that after I am on the road to recovery that he is going to start the process to have the same surgery!!! I can't wait till our rolls are reversed and it is me listening to him during the ups and downs that he will more than likely have to go through. It will be well worth it in the end though because good Lord willing we will both get to have this surgery and will both be on the right path to healthier lives.

Congratulations to you!!! I can't wait till the day that I can say the same as you "I'm out of the 300's and into 200's"! Good luck to ya on your continued successes!

Thanks for sharing that info. I have gotten so much good information from reading these forums, I think I have learned more about what to expect here than I did at all of the pre-surgery required sessions!!!

Good decision...friends like that only bring people down and you don't need that, especially now! Congratulations on the 42 pounds that you have lost!!!

I'm September 11th since yesterday LOL, my first date was Sept 4th but it got moved back a week so today is day 8 of what is now a 3 week liquid diet!!! I'm using Unjury too, it's pretty good in just about anything! Good luck! Susan

NO NO NO...Say it ain't so!!! I have happily not had to deal with that for over a year now and would prefer not to go back to it!!! LOL I guess losing weight will be worth it though.

Not only are we having our surgery on the same day, we both get to do a 3 week liquid diet instead of the 2 week liquid diet!!! I guess I shouldn't be upset because I have lost almost 10 pounds in 7 days and that is the reason that we're all here...should be interesting to see how much I loose before surgery day!!!

That's not a bad idea!!! LOL His nurse also told me 'look at the bright side, your liver will be that much smaller', that didn't make me feel any better...

Well, one week down on my 2 week liquid diet and my surgeon's nurse calls this morning to tell me that my surgery is going to have to be moved from the 4th to the 11th...not real happy at the moment!!! I guess it is what it is though sooooo September 11th here I come!!! Susan
