My doctor told me 2-3 weeks... I am comtemplating using the whole 3 weeks. I also hope to have surgery in October. I have sick time saved, so I might as well use it. THanks for asking this question - it's good to get other's perspectives.

Just turned 40 earlier this month. Crossing my fingers for insurance approval and surgery by October. The forties are truly going to be fabulous

I am having my surgery with Dr. Scott. My sister had a gastric bypass years ago with Dr. Scott and was/is very happy. My New Self has been very helpful. I am tentatively scheduled for Oct - but am still waiting on insurance approval. Crossing my fingers! Would love to hear what you decided and if you are happy with your sleeve! Any other St. Louisans out there?

I am waiting on insurance approval... crossing my fingers. I jumped through all the hoops: 6 month supervised weight loss attempt. psych eval, TSH test, medical clearance, PT eval, etc. Not too bad looking at some of the other hoops some have had to jump through. Surgeon's office just sent my packet to insurance this week and they have 30 days to reply. I am looking at October - tentatively 10/7. As I said - crossing my fingers! From St/ Louis, MO
