  1. I like Walden Farms for calorie free. But I've also made my own with red wine vinegar, sauteed garlic, dash of salt & pepper and 2 teaspoons of miracle whip.. Yummy
  2. Time has zoomed by... I feel like I just went to the seminar, yet that was in mid July! Over 2 months ago. I remember thinking, wow this is going to drag by, especially with all these appointments spread out like they were... My first appointment with the surgeon was Aug. 15th...and that was over a month ago already... All my test are done except my 2nd stress test on Wednesday...and then its on to my last appointment with NUT & Surgeon..and then Surgery sometime a week or two after... So, I'm looking at less than a month for surgery (fingers crossed).
  3. Most Excellent! Keep up the great work!
  4. You're taking control of your health..nothing to be ashamed of..
  5. During your consult. The doctor should share their history with you. I know mine did. He went over all the surgery percentages on a large scale and where he ranked with respect to leaks, weight regain, support, other medical issues as well as mortality rates. Thank goodness, he's had no one die..but he was very open and very honest...about his stats vs the overall averages. I feel completely confident and comfortable with him.
  6. Isn't it odd how they all work and operate differently..lol I guess the doctor's office is no different than the insurance companies... so many variations in practices and for approvals. I was pre-approved 1 day after my 1st meeting with the surgeon in August..just had to do all the required test and other appointments.
  7. I met with the NUT for the 1st time on Sept 11. My 2nd and final appointment with the NUT & WLS is October 2nd. The NUT asked me when did I want to be scheduled, I said as soon as possible, and he said, okay then it will likely be 1 to 1.5 weeks from Oct 2nd. So I'm looking at mid-October! Can't wait.
  8. Ha Ha..love the analogy.. Sound like the American government of late..lol
  9. OMG! You look 1000% better and healthier I don't see a little old man anywhere! Good for you...

Sounds to me like you guys need to have a real heart-to-heart. In my psych eval we covered this... weight loss just like weight gain can put a strain on any relationship... that she had it too though her reactions really surprise me.. You guys may need some kind of couples counseling to actually fetter out what is bothering her and why she isn't as enthused about the new you....because I doubt it will just go away on its own.
  11. From all that I've read here and elsewhere, it sounds like you hit a stall.. and your body is making adjustments.. You should stick to the program and allow it to re-adjust and catch up.
  12. Yep. It is going to be my 50th birthday present...a boob job... lift them suckers up...from the basement.
  13. If they approved one surgeon can't see why it can't be transferred to another that is in network. I mean, all the paperwork and test are done...should be relatively easy. Hopefully, the new doc will only need to see you for an office visit...
  14. Yep. Call your insurance company. In fact, you probably can go on their website and find a doctor that is in Network... If the doc is that busy and you've got everything else lined up, I say try to find someone else in your area. Good luck.
  15. Me too. But I'm sucking it up for now. To close to what I want to flip out on him. But you can't bet, he won't get to keep me as a patient..that's for sure.
  16. 44G...Oooo Weee... well, I think I might be able to top that ..how about this: Yes, I'm a 42DD but I'm a 42DD LONG.. yes, I said LONG..
  17. Almost there. I thought for sure all my test would be wrapped as of yesterday, but no such luck. I had my cardio stress test and even though it and 2 separate EKGs looked fine, and the echo was fine on wednesday, my cardiologist now wants me to do a Nuclear Stress Test next week. Seems, he figured out, he can order more test without pre-approval and certifications and the insurance company will pay because I have a premium plan. So, I guess, he's trying to get every dime he can. I've seen him 5x already..I mean dude, really..lol.. there's nothing wrong with my heart at all. But I'll play along because I need him to sign off by October 2 because I have my last appointment with the NUT & Surgeon... hoped to be scheduled for surgery in Mid-October. It is true all the plans are different. I had no 6 month supervised diet, only had to visit the doctors office in three separate, yet consecutive months. What's nice about my docs office is that the psych and the NUT are part of his Bariatric Practice and they are all located in one building. I did have to do GI series, Lab Work, but no sleep study, no nicotine testing, no pulmonary test and no endoscopy either.
  18. Yes, I know the feeling. I'm doing a half dance now..lol..almost there.. I'll be glad to get some cute bras too (I'm 42DD now) and have to wear these boulder holders ..can't wait to toss them! I'm not prone to a whole lot of belly or back fat, for me it's my arms and thighs... thunder CAT...for real..lol..ugh..
  19. Hmmmm...I need him at the moment..lol If he doesn't give me the go ahead after this next test, it is going to get ugly and fast! I have an appt with my surgeon and the last appt with my NUT on 10/2 and then I'm to be scheduled for surgery shortly thereafter. So, he has one week to get her done..or it's going to be WWIII!
  20. My niece's sister-in-law had bypass surgery. She was 500+ lbs and the doctor required that she lose 75lbs before he would operate. But he did make it easier for her to do so, by putting her on a supervised liquid diet. She dropped the weight in record time too.
  21. If you're doing self-pay, have you considered going to Mexico?
  22. Yeah..and there it is..."peer to peer!" They'll figure out a way ...lol My insurance company never says NO...and that is the problem!
  23. It all depends upon what the doctor's program requirements are....you should ask them.
