hi all surgery went well thought i was gonna die with the shoulder pain on wednesday cryed and felt a bit sorry for myself feeling much better today have lost 16lbs including one week pre op diet hope everyone else is doing ok

hi jetti while i was reading your remarks i could have written them myself as it sounded how i am myself and you thoughts are the same as mine good luck with your journey

Im fat because im a hoover. I hoover up my kids left overs after iv eaten my own meal as i hate to see waisted food and it all goes back to the time a few years ago we were really poor through no falt of our own and we bearly had enough money to buy food and there were times when it was food or heating to keep warm so after the kids had eaten i would eat their left overs and now im so parranoid about not waisting food that it seems that its taken over my life. So tommorrow im due to have my surgery and although its gonna reduce the amount of food i consume im still gonna be battling with my food obsession.

hi fo fo im also being banded on july 31st in nottingham uk it seems to have come round so quickly in the last few days. i too am very nervous i hope your surgery goes well and hope to hear how you are getting on.

Hi AZA im getting banded on tuesday 31st july so i know how you must be feeling as i have had quit an emotional day after all the waiting it is finaly upon me and is real. hope you handeling it ok and that all goes well for you.

my GP said that it wasnt the answere and to eat less well if i could do that i wouldnt be wanting surgery. BUT when i saw my consultant he said i was way too small for a bypass (gastric that is not urban) and would only do a band. big day 31st july 2007

<p>i havent told my boss either they know that im going in for stomach surgery and DH is under instruction of what to say afterwards. I had to give them a copy of my admissions letter so that i still get paid but that doesent say anything and im gonna take as much time as possible off to make sure im realy fit and well. I know this isnt possible for everyone but if it is take it just to make sure your up to it. Any how my boss thinks it somthing more serious so im not gonna say any different</p>

Hi everybody Im due to be banded on july 31st 2007 :clap2:and have been battling with my weight for about 22 years i was slim at one point but never realised it as i was so crap at liking myself and thought if i were thiner people would like me more the fact that i had a low self opinion due to my background never entred my head and that i had ENORMOUSE BOOBS :omg:and although i only had a twenty seven inch waist when i married DH i was told the only way to get rid of the boobies was to DIET! WRONG COS that led to years of yo yo diating and am now 87lbs heavier than when i wed DH. Boobs went with surgery:whoo:. So you may be asking why do i want to know what it feels like to be slim well its because its been such a long time i have forgotten. Cos even if i lose 30lbs i will still be thiner than i am now BUT i wanna go the whole way and its scaring the poop out of me as i have failed so many times before.:hungry: So all you lovely fellow bandsters out their who have pased that place that we get down to on convential diets and then start putting it back on again (my door slams shut at 12st 2lbs and then i get scared and it all piles on again) please can you tell me how you delt with it and how wonderful, frightened etc you felt and how it feels now.:help: thanks guys x 19 days till banding

hi caolin im due to be banded on july 31st too it seems ages off but i know its not. i always thought i was fat cos some nasty people always commented about the size of my boobs so i started dieting and it was up and down for twenty years concequently im now 87lbs hevier than when i started. Roll on surgery day. as for wot im gonna wear when im slim its a pair of jeans that i bought when i was having my son in 92 still with the lable on

another one is when your best mate whom you havent seen for ages says "you ve put a bit of weight on" and they look fantastic. its enough to make you stuff out. 28 days till surgery
