  6. Southern Surgical in Slidell was great! No complaints. Ask for the strawberry sorbet after surgery. It was great too! I stayed overnight and left about 10am the next day.
  7. I was sleeved at Southern Surgical Hospital in Slidell by Dr. Balder. Great experience there! I made a mistake I was sleeved on 8/15/13 and had a hiatal hernia repair. Down 11 pounds now.
  8. I has my sleeve done 8/5/12. I am also a RN! I am 6 days post op and have had an easy recovery. Drinking my liquids and walking. Hope I can join this group.

  10. I am 3 days post op too. I have the gas and diarrhea. I have learned too to be on the toilet when I pass gas. I use the gas x chewables, but they don't seem to work well.
  11. At first it took 2-3 weeks, then the insurance wanted the past five years of doctors notes. It was approved right away then. But I have Medicare, so maybe that made a difference. I had to wait until I got Medicare to get it done. My previous insurance wouldn't pay for it under any circumstances.

  14. I just joined this forum today. I am 66 years young and will be sleeved on 8/15/13. I am also having my hiatal hernia repaired. I am a diabetic, have high blood pressure, high cholestrol, hypothyroidism, depression, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, etc. I hope to get my health back and be able to move more. I am also a nurse and am working part time. So happy to have a forum to post on!
