I am 67. Had my surgery August 2013. I have hit a plateau a few months ago. I have not exercised much, so I am starting to exercise twice a week at the gym for 30 minutes and swim once a week for an hour. I had a terrible time trying to do the Protein shakes ... finally found I could drink the unjury unflavored with almond milk and frozen fruit. I try to do it each morning & it gives me 21 grams of protein to start the day off. I am so happy with my weight loss! I am off of the majority of my meds which makes me so happy!!

Thanks for these cauliflower recipes. I can't wait to try them. I have watched your 3 videos and find them very informative. Can't wait to see your next video. Keep them coming.

Southern Surgical in Slidell was great! No complaints. Ask for the strawberry sorbet after surgery. It was great too! I stayed overnight and left about 10am the next day.

I was sleeved at Southern Surgical Hospital in Slidell by Dr. Balder. Great experience there! I made a mistake I was sleeved on 8/15/13 and had a hiatal hernia repair. Down 11 pounds now.

I has my sleeve done 8/5/12. I am also a RN! I am 6 days post op and have had an easy recovery. Drinking my liquids and walking. Hope I can join this group.

I am 66 and was sleeved last Thursday. I am doing well and have lost 8 lbs! I am so looking forward to the whey protein isolate drinks tomorrow on my day 5. So glad to join this group of youngsters!

I am 3 days post op too. I have the gas and diarrhea. I have learned too to be on the toilet when I pass gas. I use the gas x chewables, but they don't seem to work well.

At first it took 2-3 weeks, then the insurance wanted the past five years of doctors notes. It was approved right away then. But I have Medicare, so maybe that made a difference. I had to wait until I got Medicare to get it done. My previous insurance wouldn't pay for it under any circumstances.

I just joined this forum today. I am 66 years young and will be sleeved on 8/15/13. I am also having my hiatal hernia repaired. I am a diabetic, have high blood pressure, high cholestrol, hypothyroidism, depression, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, etc. I hope to get my health back and be able to move more. I am also a nurse and am working part time. So happy to have a forum to post on!
