This is a new one for me..
Thanks, I don't know if you remember but I lost my insurance a week after surgery so I don't have access to my surgeon. I appreciate the input, it eases my mind to know what I'm going through is a normal part of the process.

This is a new one for me..
Hi, it's been a while since I've posted. I'm doing great at just about 9 months out and about 93 lbs lost. I'm going through some serious personal crap right now, divorce, etc and in the past I always turned to food. I don't think I've ever lost my apatite in my life. But for the last few weeks I just do not want to eat, to the point of feeling hungry... I never actually feel hungry anymore so this is a foreign feeling for me now. I literally have to force myself to eat. I have absolutely no idea how to manage this. I just don't want food of any kind. I have been losing at a rate of 2-4 lbs a month for the last 2-3months but I've lost about 8 lbs in the last 3 weeks. I havent seen loss like that since the first 5 months out but I'm afraid when my apatite returns I'll gain it back. I feel so trapped in this backwards food cycle, uncharted territory for me. Has this happened to any of you, and how did you deal with it? Thanks

Are your family & friends telling you to stop losing weight?
It's really weird but I got a lot of "don't lose any more weight" when I was around a size 14, now that I'm about a size 9 I never here that anymore. All I ever hear is that I look great. Well, actually I get a lot of "skinny" and "tiny" which, really gets on my nerves because I'm neither. When people have the nerve to ask what I weigh I just laugh, I mean, seriously? I don't really care what everyone else thinks at this point because I know I'm healthier and happier and I know I look great, and not just "compared to how I looked before". I may be relocating to Florida in the next year and I'm excited to start over in a place where the size of my ass isn't judged by every client that walks through the door.

Labor day Challenge
Im in, again! CW 159.2, goal weight 152. I made goal the last two challenges but didn't on the two previous ones, so we'll see what happens. I'm coming up on 9 months out and it's getting more unpredictable as I get closer to my original goal. At this point I kinda feel like I'm on maintenance but I keep losing. Hopefully my weight will just level off at some point on it's own. I still have to be pretty diligent about what I eat, make good choices. If I slip I go up a lb or 1.5 lbs but I get right back on track quickly and that seems to jump start a little extra loss. I'm still 19 lbs from my original goal but I look and feel fantastic where I am so if I lose more, great, if I don't, that's great too. In 8 1/2 months I've lost 91 lbs! Thanks for taking up these challenges, they really help me keep my head in the game

Memorial Day Challenge
I just realized I passed my goal of 169.8! I REALLY hope it sticks (I've been bouncing around a lot). I'm super excited but I won't really count it as officially reaching goal unless it sticks around for next week. Fingers crossed

Stall and gaining
Ok, sorry you're struggling too but, honestly, I'm glad it's not just me. I recently started going to the gym so hopefully that will help jump start things again. I would love to eat 1200 calories a day but the absolute most I can pack in (without eating crap) is 1000, and at that I feel totally stuffed all day. I've never had a stall this long, especially with a gain so I hope my gym efforts pay off soon.

Stall and gaining
Hi all, I am 6 1/2 months out, and while I have experienced mini stalls along the way my current situation has me a little stressed out. I was averaging about 10 lbs a month but since the end of march I've only lost 5-6 lbs, which I was ok with. It has to slow down sometime right? But in the last two weeks I've crept up about 2 lbs. The only thing I've changed is that I've upped my calories from 800-900, my nut wants me at 1200 but I struggle to get even 900 and now that I'm gaining I'm hesitant to add more calories. Yes, I track everything on mfp. Yes, I get in all of my protein and water. Yes, I do low carb. I have been more active in the last few weeks, and, nothing. The stall I can handle, it's normal, healthy, blah blah, but the gaining really sucks. I've been between 175 and 171 for a month. Is this it?

Thanks for the encouragement! I am super sore today, but it's a good sore. Tuesdays are my extra long work days, but back to the gym tomorrow. I'm really getting excited now!

What a truly amazing accomplishment. You are one of the most inspiring people I know and I so happy to be able to share in your celebration. Incredible.

I don't know if it's right for me
Hi. Before being sleeved I had the worst diet, I just didn't care anymore. I binge ate all the time, I lived off of Pasta, fast food, sugar, and diet pepsi. Horrible. I gave it all up, cold turkey, 10 days before my surgery, at the start of pre op. I've been sleeved for 6 1/2 months and I'm down 79-80 lbs. My old eating habits are (mostly) a thing of the past. I do have moments of weekness, but they are just moments and few and far between. That type of eating is no longer the norm for me. I've tried eating healthy in the past only to fall back into old patterns, but with this sleeve tool and the restrictions it provides, I've been able to stick to my new lifestyle with little issues. I hope to NEVER eat the way I used to again. The things you think you love and can't live without now, become inconsequential about a month and a half after vsg. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Hit the gym...
I just moved to a new apartment that has all kinds of amenities, including a fitness center. I set a goal for myself to get into the gym within one week of moving in. So, I started today. I really wanted to go, but I had to fight with myself to get up and make it happen. But once I got in there it was great, like coming home. Only problem is I'm sure I overdid it and I'm sure I'll pay for it tomorrow. It's only been a couple of hours and I'm already really sore. ... I've only lost MAYBE 4-5 lbs in the last 5-6 weeks so I know I need to add exercise to up my game. I originally set a goal weight of 140 lbs, and I still have about 31 lbs to hit that goal. BUT, I am so happy in a size ten, where I am now, I'm not sure I want to get much thinner. However, I REALLY need to tone up. Alot. So if I get thinner, I guess that's ok too. Anyway, thanks for listening to me go on and on... wish me luck with my motivation!

- Has anyone experience thining hair?
The Natrol 1000 mcg fast dissolve cherry flavor is my favorite. You can get it at Walmart or most drug stores- Majorly cool NSV!
Just moved into my new apartment this weekend, one of the teens asked my daughter if her mom was the skinny lady that's always running up and down the stairs! OMG! The skinny lady! - Has anyone experience thining hair?
