  1. I'm just moving into puréed but there's some really great ideas here. Going to sve it
  2. It's pretty common for insurance company's to require a 3 or 6 month medically supervised diet. I ate that for you. Mine required the 6 month wait, but then my husband's employer changed insurance company so I didn't have to wait. I was sleeved 4 weeks after my first appt. I wish that insurance comany's were required to cover this immediately. The AMA just recently recognized obesity as a disease, so I think we will see a coverage change in the next couple of years, but I know that doesn't help right now.
  3. I'm so glad your doing so well !
  4. I was to,d protein at first. 69-80 g per day in liquid -food doesn't count toward that.
  5. I was sleeved 8/8. Each day has been better. Just takes a while to get in all the fluids and protein. And head hunger? I could eat the dog . Lots of soup. I had to be on clear liquids for 2-3 days, then full liquid with at Keats 60 g drinkable protein. Starting tomorrow I can gave puréed foods. Looking forward to a scrambled egg.

  12. I am starving for mushroom soup. Think that would be ok? Can I count it toward fluids?
  13. Thanks Notime. Am beginning to wonder what the heck I've done to myself. Having trouble finding a hot liquid I can drink. Popsicles are wonderful though.
  14. Any suggestions? My nought is kind if dry but I just can't drink very much. Difficulty getting in protein. Thought I would be able to drink 4 11 oz protein drinks. Must ave been crazy. Suggestions?

  18. Call. May be something common, but don't take a chance. Can you have broth? Ifso, something hot may help.
  19. Mine is tomorrow. Trying to remain calm
  20. Praying for you, BayouBoy. I'm at 10 tomorrow.
  21. Aumum, how bad was yesterday?
  22. Not kidding about the garden hose. That's what the pre op nurse actually said. Have you guys already been sleeved? How was it for you?
  23. Just got back from pre op visit. Surgery is tomorrow at 10. Getting really nervous. Today included a Bariatric boot camp and most of what was ducussed was the pain after surgery. Really scary. Also was told that they would place a tube in my stomach the size of a GARDEN HOSE to use as a guide when cutting away the extra stomach. Kind of freaked out. Talk to me, guys.
