I agree , she sounds negative and jealousy perhaps she's hating because she does not have the encouragement or mindset to be heathy . Raise your head high, hay your procedure, and be healthy. If you find more negative people there switch programs. Good luck .

Keisha lol I hope it gets better, but if not make you bring paper and pen , perhaps you can rake notes on whats pertinent to you and draw when they discuss other procedures nit pertaining to you, I know when I did my class they cover the sleeve , bypass , and touch lightly on the band, my center of excellence focuse on the sleeve and bypass . Congrats on your decision to be healthy .

Please hang in there you can do this we are here for you, is your family supportive. Sometimes people who are no thing through this do not understand how we feel, this is. Everyday struggle but please try and stay focus on one day at a time and not the one or two weeks you may have to do this we re here for you.

Southjerzjoy it sure is because so many of us are struggling to have this procedure done with all the copays ANC pre test before we are even approved . It's rounder flu to meet kind hearted people who understand and support you .

Loving life thank you I won't find out when my surgery is until March 5 when I see the surgeon, but I have completed everything else .

Sugarfreeme thanks I was a little sadden by completing my 6 month wright management and test and then being told it was a two month waiting period yo see the surgeon, but my husband reminded me I flew through the 6 month wright management so these two months will fly past too, he is my rock and I love him , so I'm. Focusing on exercise and loving Zumba .while waiting.

Sugarfreeme Hi it was January until we discovered that my Primary doctor sent my information to the wrong place resulting in a two month delayment. The referral he was to complete for his approval for my surgery was not sent in the 3rd month as requested but the fifth month as soon as my insurance company received it within two days I recieved their approval to meet with the syrgeon, he is so back up I can not meet with him until March. So now I have to wait until March to see the surgeon so I am hoping that I will have my surgery the end of March. I am using this time to loose additional weight. And remain positive.

It is very rewarding to have the support of friends and family members . I decided on the bypass do to my ongoing health issues as well as sweet tooth.

Hi everyone , I am still awaiting surgery but I have now lost enough weight while awaiting surgery that I can now sit criss cross applesauce which was one of my goals. I cant wait to have surgery to see what others things I can do. I just had to share.

DonnaIA I will not get my date until a March 5/14 when I meet with the surgeon unless there is a cancellation, they have a long waiting list. My doctor is dr. Carlin at he works at a state of excellence center in Detroit at Henry ford .

Paj92434 hi please double check with your primary regarding the referral you do not want any delayments. My primary sent my referral for the surgery to the wrong doctor at 3 months, and they caught the mistake in my 5th month do to this error itbwas not sent yo joy surgeon until the 5 th month, I just completed my 6 month weight mangement requirement jane 4/2014 and the next available date to see my surgeon was March 5/2014 . But I will see him for four hours, I will get my two week prep diet for surgery, get medical cleared by the. Anesthesiolist, see the nutritionist all at Detroit Henry Ford hospital I will be meeting with Dr, Carlin . My insurance required a state of the excellence center to approved 100 percent of my surgery .

DonaiA I was torn between the two and started out wanting the sleeve but decided to yo with the bypass because I do like sweets and this will prevent this . I will be having my procedure done at Henry ford in Detroit , and I smile so ready for this and have great support. I look forward to reading about your progress .

Hi newbie lol it really depends on your insurance requirements, I had to do a 6 month weight management, see a nutritionist, blood work, EKG, exercise class, attend a class about what to expect how to measure, get a psy eval, and attend two appointments with the surgeon, I'm awaiting my first appointment with the surgeon which isn't until match , ute everything else is done .

I agree with the statements above I found out that I had it to I had to take an aggressive medications for two weeks then it was gone, Im glad that they found out early before I had my surgery. I have to admit I did feel better once it was gone no upset stomach and I had more energy.

Hi my husband will be staying with me in the hospital, I could not imagine doing this without him, he's my rock .
